sjordan2 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I know there may have been many variations over the years, but it strikes me that Petty Blue is the right color for the Bugatti I'm building. In lacquer spray can, what would be the specific color of choice? I would prefer Tamiya aerosol, but I'm really open.
Casey Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I suspect Testors AMC "Big Bad Blue" is close to Petty/Basin St. Blue, but I've never used it myself.
Brendan Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I would go with what Bluesman Mark said. Most Bugattis were painted French Blue.
Joe Handley Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I suspect Testors AMC "Big Bad Blue" is close to Petty/Basin St. Blue, but I've never used it myself. For reference, here's Model Master's Big Bad Blue Lacquer on a lexan body I painted a while back, reason I used it was that it looked pretty close to Petty Blue.
