Space Cowboy Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Just finished my 58 Nomad so please enjoy.
RodneyBad Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 That is a real Cool Looking Nomad.. Great body work, looks like it was meant to be that way.. Excellent work my friend.
george 53 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 VERY NICE conversion. You are VERY good! I'da NEVER thought about shortening the body. I'd have just extended the roof(which I did) But mine isn't finished(I LOVE the way you molded the tailgate!!!!) It's too bad GM DIDN'T offer a Nomad like yours I think it would have sold thousands!!!!! BEAUTIFUL job.
Guest Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Looks nice Bruce! Chevy did make a two door wagon, but it was called a handy man wagon. Here's a link to one for sale: http://lexington.craigslist.org/cto/2157505382.html
W-409 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Nice model! It would be nice concept car if those wheels would be different. Paintjob looks very good and color is very nice. Custom work is done very nicely, I like this one. Engine looks pretty good, detailing is good, but only one thing is disturbing me on the engine. It's that you have drilled little too big holes for heater hoses. Just a little thing. Wheels are awful, but when other model looks this good, they doesn't really matter too much. Awesome!
Railfreak78 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Cool wagon! I might have to make on of these now Looks like it was released this way.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Hey Bruce I love what you did to this. Great job of incorporating the tail light housings into the tail gate. I'm not fond of the wheels and tires, but then I don't have to be. I did notice that you put 3 red lights on each side. The center one is supposed to be a clear back-up light. All in all a great conversion. .
W-409 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I did notice that you put 3 red lights on each side. The center one is supposed to be a clear back-up light. That's just custom work. '60 Impala in the garage and there is also three red lights on each side, that looks good, I think. But yes, as I said, I like this model very very much.
Peter Lombardo Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 This is a pretty neat Nomad. I think the "Nomad" name has been the genesis of more iterations than any other auto model nameplate. Very nice execution and great color.
charlie8575 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Actually, the two-door wagon in 1958 was called the Yeoman; Handyman was used from 1953 or '54 to 1957. Bruce- great job. It's too bad G.M. didn't do this one, it looks fantastic. Charlie Larkin
kerc Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 All I gotta say is: This is awesome, and it should be available in resin!
Dominik Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Very nice built - because, its a 58 . I like the color most! D Looks like, you took the roof of a 55/56 Nomad? But Charlie... Actually, the two-door wagon in 1958 was called the Yeoman; Handyman was used from 1953 or '54 to 1957. [...] ...if i am not right, i think that the Yeoman didn't have three tail lights on each side? All stations from the 58 Chevy had only one at each side? Isn't it?
philo426 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I like it!maybe you can make another body so that it can be used to create a resin-cast version!
