camarobuilder Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Tyrone, Nice to see you on this board. I'm used to watching your work over there on the other one...LOL. Did the pictures of Tamez's Camaro help you out any? Frank
crowe-t Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Tyrone, Excellent work so far! I'll be watching this build closely. Where did you get the rear suspension and the wheelie bars? Are they scratch built? Edited January 14, 2011 by crowe-t
Tedly Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Great work! Can't wait to see the finished product. Where did you get the front wheels?
W-409 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Nice start! Is that chassis from '55 or '57 Chevy pro sportsman with some modifications? Roll cage is done that way too? Body looks good also, reminds me from these Finnish PM Camaros, here is the first one, Tami Brander's Camaro and here is Tomi Pöntinen's Camaro . Great project, cant wait to see more.
tyrone Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 thanks for the comments fellas, yes I use the floor pan and lower chassis from the r/m 55/57 kits and basically scratch build the rest....
SuperStockAndy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Looks awesome! Will you use the Yenko stripes like you did on your Nova?
tyrone Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 thanks for the comments fellas, the front wheels are from a slot car company called pro track you can find them on ebay, the rear wheelie bars were scratch build from styrene, I've got the bracing added to the wheelie bars and mounted the rear end, I got the clear coat on the chassis too.Ive been playing around with different wheels, not sure what I'm going to use yet. Next I'll start on the brakes.. thanks for looking and comments welcome..
Dragracer Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Both Camaros look great Tyrone, can't wait to see how this '69 comes along, I'm sure it'll be just as great as everything else I see of yours. Between you,Wayne,Clay,Mike & so many others, I have a lot of inspiration.
