Kanedge Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Seems how I have started my Ducati 916 build, I thought I'd show you guys my last Ducati build from last year. This is my interpretation of the Tamiya D'Antin Pramac Ducati GP4, and I have to admit, I love how this one turned out. Built straight from the box, the only additions were: - some photoetch nuts and bolts - replace some tubing with clear - scale motorsport carbon fibre Paint is Tamiya Matt Black straight from the can, no polishing required. This was the first model that I built with basically all parts, except for the fairings, airbrushed. Thanks for looking and your interest.
Scale-Master Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 That is one very clean build. "no polishing required" - Good one!
Kanedge Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 Scale is 1/12. It's a Tamiya motorbike. No Polishing required - if only I could do that all the time. Thanks guys.
Roger U Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 A nicely built model with a really smooth looking matt paint job. Are the white designs decals or paint? It's beautiful.
glenn Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 very nicely done, where do you source scale motorsport stuff from in oz?
Trae Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 By far the nicest bike build I've seen in quite some time. Fantastic work, Kane!
Chris C Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I hadn't noticed that you snuck this one in! This thing is awesome, if only you guys could see it in the flesh (plastic??) It really is a tidy piece of work. My favorite part.... would you believe the fluid bottle near the handlebars... take another look! You're a clever bugger Kane!
Randy D Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Congratulations!!! Wonderful build and paint Randy
cherokeered Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Looks like a real 1:1 to me...great job!
kyledr330 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I am building this same bike now. That looks really great in black. very clean work all around!
TheCat Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) Kane - You did an AWESOME job on that Ducati. Love the color and all the little details you have done. It gives the model a realistic look. Edited February 16, 2011 by TheCat
