RodneyBad Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 That is still such a Cool looking car. Paint and engine looks Great. Excellent work.
Danger Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Quick question, which kit did you use? Thanks Danger
GTMust Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 A very cool car! Pity AMC couldn't sell enough of them to keep production going..... and that's one of the nicest colors they came in.
MrObsessive Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Very nice build! I'm a big fan of AMX's ever since I used to own one (a '69) years ago. And yes, that is one of the nicer colors for that car. Quick question, which kit did you use? Looks like he used the old Johan one (or its reissue)-----in fact, I believe Johan was the only one to make that kit although some were reboxed as AMT kits.
Space Cowboy Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 Quick question, which kit did you use? Thanks Danger I am not sure which kit it is but I think it is the Testors kit.........
darquewanderer Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Great build Cowboy. Just wish that the powers that be would reissue this one and a few other AMCs.
W-409 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 This is nice AMX, and there you can see, that this kit can be built nicely without too big modifications... Nice job with the inner fenders, I like them. My inner fenders are now needing some styrene, I'm buildind the interior first anyway. Like the paintjob and color is great. Engine looks good too, I guess, it's this kit? http://www.fast-autos.net/diecast-cars-models/diecast-car-image-large/jo-han-1969-american-motors-amx-1-25-scale_110636900398.jpg Great job on the build, thank you for sharing it!

93Z34 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 How can you not like this car? A perfect choice for color and the build just looks awesome! Keep up the great work!
montelsc Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Built this one with the 390. The color is Graphite Dust.. looks really nice that was the best year
Leonidas Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Awesome work on the AMX. You've done it real justice. Awesome!
Bernard J. Froomer Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Your build takes me back to the time of my youth, lol, when I built that very same kit when it first came out (mine was the flatbox issue and I built it as a funny car). I absolutely love the color combination.... another plus is how you improved the rather sparse engine compartment. Thanks for sharing!
