Jantrix Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I certainly can't fault your building skills or your cleverness in buying the sign. I've used them as well. That being said, the average width of a frame rail on a real 1:1 hot rod is about three inches. So if one millimeter is one inch in scale, your frame rails are how wide?
rocsas2 Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) ya i need to make the framerails a little wider. Edited February 28, 2011 by rocsas2
Jon Cole Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Good start! What is the source of that engine?
rocsas2 Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) it is a 454 from a 1969 camaro kit i think im not realy sure yet.kinda just got it out of the parts box and paiyed and put it. Edited February 28, 2011 by rocsas2
rocsas2 Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 i have dne some work to the chassis and motor. but if its not done soon i will put it aside to work on my 55 chevy for the revell model contest.
rocsas2 Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 i have started to work on it again this will get finished before my others. i have put white wall slicks on the back and worked little on the interior. ihave made a dash out of a old econiline dash its preety cool. i havent changed the framerail widthe becouse i like the width. i put it against a original frame and it looks about right. they are just a bit taller.the engine was actually a pontiac. i put a couple little things on it. i changed the body to the point of not recognizing it. i chopped the top extremely and channeled it and made a fire wall. i will cut out the doors and trunk and make new ones out of metal and that way they will open. i will post pickks soon
LAone Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) that is a crazy chop, i sure hope the driver is not tall... im liking the look on this one. keep up the great work Edited April 19, 2011 by LAone
