I may be a newly "registered" forum member to MCMF but I've lurked for years here. One reason for my registration is not bash anyone but to add to this amazing hobby we have. I've been building models for over 30 years and am well known and respected throughout the modeling community but one major problem I have is when a person says they will deliver and they don't.

Could anyone tell me where I can find Donald Thune of Reliable Resin? I need a phone # so I can speak with him. Or, Donald, if you see this post, contact me. I've sent you three emails over a month after ordering and paying for your parts and have not heard from you.

Don has been sick. He sent out emails stating such. But then I'm sure some folks were missed. He's better now and busting butt to catch up. Hope that helps. Aaron Dupont

The only thing that helps is if he contacts me. Thanks for the report though.

If what you claim is true, and he hasn't answered your emails, what makes you think he'll respond to this? :P

Any problems between you and Reliable Resin are between you and Reliable Resin. They don't belong here. We don't offer mediation services.

And like Ken said... if you want to be a legitimate member here, you need to add your real name.

Streetrod, if you're going to post here, the rules state you have to have your real name either in your sig or in the info that displays to the left of your posts. Also, the subject of Reliable Resin has been raised many times on this forum and almost inevitably turns into a flame war. I understand your frustration, but, at the same time, registering here for the sole purpose of airing your grievance with Don did absolutely nothing to "add to this amazing hobby," IMHO.

Not to get into a peeing match but there are numerous members that don't have names in there sig or display to the left but we won't get into that.

Also, I've read a lot of the posts regarding Reliable Resin. Maybe my title doesn't sit well with you or others but me being out my money and/or parts doesn't sit well with me. I mearly asked for some contact info and would hope Donald Thune would see this and fix the problem. My apologies if you feel I should have a couple hundred or thousand posts under my belt before so called airing my grievances but you should not concern yourself with things that don't involve you....IMHO.

As far as what I've "added to this amazing hobby"! Over the 30 years I've contributed to numerous how-to's, been acting board member of 2 local clubs, been m/c for shows/contests, produced masters for resin parts, sponsored trophies, donated time, kits, money and hosted building clinics. :P Best Regards, Ken and thanks for your reply.

Harry,

Not sure why everyone get all uptight when posts like this appear. This site is a form of social media. I've said nothing wrong. I've bashed no-one. I'm not asking for mediation services I'm mearly trying to get some contact information. I'll see what I can do about fixing my name.

That is the risk you take when adressing somebody in public, if you don't want other people to be concerned with your problems, keep them private :P

The problem is, complaints about Reliable resin have been made here dozens of times before, and it usually doesn't do much, if anything, to resolve the issue. What usually happens is a bunch of other people start piling on, then Don comes on and defends himself, then more people chime in, etc., and before you know it we have another "Reliable Resin vs. Everyone Else" war going on. You get the picture. Basically the "Reliable Resin screwed me" threads wind up getting locked or deleted.

I won't speak for any one but myself. I've never had an issue with Don or any other resin caster that was left unresolved. Most casters are one-man operations and have lives and jobs outside of the hobby. As much as it sucks to wait for something, things happen. It's not like they can transfer production to some one else if an unforeseen event or illness kicks in.

What is the problem with the original poster asking about this supplier and if anyone knows of a better way of dealing with them? This forum is filled with experienced people who can help. Isn't that what our forum is about – Helping people with our experience?
