I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT AIRBRUSHING. I CAN LAY A SHOW QUALITY PAINT JOB WITH SPRAY CANS BUT AM LIMITED TO COLORS THAT I WANT. I RECENTLY PURCHASED AN AIRBRUSH AND AM HAVING A PROBLEM. I SAVED SOME MONEY BY GETTING A BADGER KNOCKOFF CAL HAWK BRAND. THE PROBLEM IS I CANT GET VERY LITTLE IF ANY PRODUCT IF ANY TO SPRAY. I TRIED DIFFERENT PRESSURES AND I ONLY GET BUBBLES BACK IN THE BOTTLE WITH EVEN STRAIGHT LACQUER THINNER. PLEASE HELP!!!! I WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS. BY THE WAY ITS A DUAL ACTION AND IT CAME WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS ON GENERAL USAGE.

If you are getting air bubbles in the bottle then it sounds as if your tip is clogged. Not familiar with the airbrush you are using...but if it is a double action then you should get air flowing through when you push down on your control button, and paint should flow when you pull it back (assuming it works like a Paasche or Badger. ). I would try and find a parts breakdown schematic online, tear the thing down and clean it good and put it back together and try again.

Somethign is blockoing the air from rushing out of the tip...you should take the whole thing apart and clean it. You may have a goober stuck on the pin blocking too. Just take it apart and clean it really well with lacquer thinner. Make sure nothing is blocked.

Once you solve this and get it working, be patient. It takes a lilttle bit of practice to get the "hang" of it. Once you do you will never turn back.

ok guys thanks for the info. I solved my problem. Hobby Lobby had a 25% off sale this week on their airbrushes and supplies and i got a Paasche for 75.00. And it worked just fine. Dont buy an airbrush for 33.00 and except it to work like a 100.00 airbrush. Thanks for everything. I am really enjoying this sight better than some i have looked at.

Keeping your air brush clean is key to effective airbrush use.

Learn how to break it down and clean it after each use..

In no time at all you will be able to clean your brush in under 10 minutes and have it back together...

I would take the hawk apart and clean it out too...

that's the trouble with the cheap brushes. The problem might be a piece of metal in there from the manufacturing process. Eyeball every part under a magnifying glass to see if you see some foreign object.
