charlie8575 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 We're getting somewhere around an inch, maybe less, down from four inches predicted as late as yesterday. This endless winter's got to end! Charlie Larkin
mikemodeler Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Was 85 here in the Carolinas yesterday, gonna cool down to the upper 60s today and rain and cooler weather moves in for a few days. Probably gonna have to mow the grass again this weekend (my apologies to those of you who can't see their lawn because of snow!). Happiest day of my life was 6 years ago when I packed up my house and moved from Northern Illinois to Charlotte. Selling that 8 hp, two stage 30 inch snowblower and giving away my snow shovels ranks right up there with the packing and moving! Went back to Chicago this past winter right after the big blizzard and it was a good reminder why I moved South. Spring is coming, just sooner for some!

So when its (94 / 94) and I'm whining about the heat..the wife points to the shovel, always seems to get cooler then

Green Duster Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Well guys.n The snow ended yesterday afternoon. Got a total of 16 inches. Snowblowed the driveway twice, a path for the dog ( it was higher than she is) and then went and did the brothers driveway. Now it's 32 degrees today and the sun's shineing. What a differance. It's also melting that snow. Now just waiting for the 7th of april. Hope most of it's all gone. Then I can take the Duster for a ride. Even if it's just up and down the street in front of the house. The 7th is my birthday. I always try to do that on my birthday. Wish me luck. I might need it this year.LOL!
Aaronw Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 We got about 6 feet this week. Haven't had power since monday (so no building after work ), on the plus side got 3 days of overtime out of the storm. Now have a generator on the must get list, but I think there will still be a little extra left over for the model budget this month. Gotta love wood heat though, or the house would be quite chilly.
