Erik Smith Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Very cool. Nice work on the body. I like the steel wheels and wide whites. I would keep a hearse look, fill the back AND roof with surf board racks. Enough for everybody at the beach! This guy (or gal) is so popular, everybody loves his (or her) boards! It's not mine though, so I await the final presentation.
Custom Hearse Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I would keep a hearse look, fill the back AND roof with surf board racks. I agree with Erik, But I would move the roof rack forward. Looks good!
Tumbler75 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Truly exceptional work! I like the ideas you have going with this build. Can't wait to see more. Great work on bracing up the frame looks like it was made that way. BTW: Thanx for lookin' for a casket for my Chrysler.
Skydime Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I think the whole thing is great. The roof rack may be over the top but, it would probably be there if it was really being used by a surf shop. I do think it looks better on the roof instead of inside. The idea of the casket with surf board slots is crazy. It really does make you think someone drives it for work and for a personal daily driver.
Terror Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Make it a beach front rental.Call it Undertow Rentals.?Cool work
Brokentail58 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Wow, that is Awesome. I love the coffin rack .
Agent G Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Up to your usual shennagins again eh David? As always, a beautiful and inspiring build. Love the coffin board holder. G
Chromecop Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Being a big fan of hearses I really like this build. The only thing I'd change is the missing rear doors. Other than that It's a very nice and clean build. And, the idea with the casket holding some surfboads is just awesome!
george 53 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Gotta agree with Danno, on this one. It DOES look GREAT, but yeah, if you fill the lights closest to the rear door, and drop the bumper where the door is, so you don't have to shorten the door, it would be a PERFECT conversion to a service vehicle. It came out GREAT , either way ya look at it! What color is it gonna be????
crazyjim Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Somehow I missed this build - but I now I found it and it's very nice. I like the surf board deal better than a hearse and would dump the casket as a surf board carrier. What about hinging the casket and put some water related items in it like SCUBA tanks, snorkel tubes, mask, fins, etc?
