no, Entex.

I do like the idea John, you got my attention. Be aware of the join-lines between the upper and lower body.

On the box it says, can be built as convertible or as coupe, but you show a coupe body, is there a second upper-body in the box?

Hello.....I worked on the body today........got the width and the length done......I will work on the height and the doors tomorrow......then I will need to shape......thank`s for looking.

What a build! The width of that body reminds me of...

Overall, that... is similar to...

I'm sure this will be another home run. B)

no, Entex.

As I recall, in the 70s & 80s Entex only repackaged previously released kits; much like Model King did a few years ago. I don't think that they ever tooled any model cars themselves.

Much of what Entex release from the 70s through the 80s was originally produced by Bandai. A lot of the 1/16th scale classics that are now available through MiniCraft were originally produced by Bandai and Otaki.

What I'm not sure of is who produced the 1:20th XKE that John is building. If it was a Bandai kit, it has/had their name on parts trees, typically on the backside of the part tree behind the letter designator on the tree.

Thanks, Christian!!

I recall the brand. I remember their 1:8th scale RSR Turbo Carrera Porsche, the 1:8th scale Lotus 72D JPS F1 car and the 1:8th scale Marlboro McLaren M23. I built both the Lotus and the McLaren, but I never had the Porsche. They were HUGE kits!!

I don't ever recall seeing their 1:20 Jaguar.

Anyway, keep up the GREAT work, John!! This is sure to be another amazing build!!

That's a great job of work, John, and I'm full of admiration for your "cut n shut" skills...

....but (and I'm sure I'm in the minority here)... why would you do that to such a great-looking car?

If I had a couple of 1/20 E-Types, I'd make them as 1/20 E-types...

Each to their own, I guess..!

bestest,

M.
