Chuck Most Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Shuffling through some of my stuff today, and dug up this... Same issue as what Tim Boyd showed in his model car museam article, except mine's a bit more tattered. The kit inside was a junked out glue bomb, I bought a couple of years back it specifically for the box because I thought it was cool... guess I'm a true model car nut job, huh?

ra7c7er Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 The box is really cool. I have a couple old instruction sheets I am saving to frame to put in my model area.
george 53 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I remember this release! You usedta be able to get it at FULL SERVICE GAS STATIONS, remember them????
Dr. Cranky Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 It'd be a great kit to convert into a Star Wars pod racer!
Eshaver Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 George , I beleive it was 1965. Zerex, a Dupont division was giving those cars out to us when we came in for a wash job or whatever . Thats when the Shillouette got a deep Purple paint job . I'm getting too old ........... Ed Shaver
disabled modeler Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Cool old box art!...love looking at those old boxes. I use them for storage and wall paper but never cut them up to do it....you take the bottom of the box and push a push pin tack through into the wall and just set the box top on. Makes sweet wall paper or a border around the rooms walls!
David G. Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Wow! Great box art. and coolant... in a can David G.
Jim Gibbons Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I remember seeing that TV show. If I recall correctly, it had a clip from Goldfinger in it, too; the DB5 and the Mustang scene.
