Canuk Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Ok my second build here for you to look at. Stock kit built 69 Charger R/T with Duplicolor Paint. I did sand off the soft top as I wanted a hard top. Polished with Maguires Scratch X ane then a light coat of Martin Guitar polish (all I had). I am happy with the paint and the way it turned out so far. Thanks for looking!
diymirage Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 looks good you did a great job removing the canvas top, looks very smooth (though revell also sells a 68 charger wich is the exact same body that has a smooth top molded in) now, if i remember correctly, this kit came with an engine...lets see it
moparfarmer Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Is that Duplicolor paint out of a can? How does the Scratch X work? I use their cleaner then Gold Class paste to finish it off. Very nice looking car and the color just makes it........
crowe-t Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Hey Paul, Nice looking Charger! Can you post some pictures of the interior, chassis and engine?
Modlbldr Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Beautiful color. What is it called? As stated before, you did a great job removing the vinyl top. Later-
Mopar - D Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Nice job I to use the Maguires Scratch X with the Duplicolor Paint also and will sure put a good shine on. Have you looked into using Bare Metal Foil (BMF) for the chorme trim.
