David, True Fire was done by a painter named Mike LAVALLEE thru his shop "Killer Paint" He does those flames all freehand on any surface, He sells the stencils and DVD to show you how. http://www.killerpaint.com/gallery.html

He does Supper work. Did not think he would paint models.
clayton Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Back in the 50's 60's or so when folks started painting flames on the cars to look like fire/flames. http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/thehistoryof/55539/index.html also there is a ghost flames that is were the flames and the back ground color are just about the same and how you are looking at the body(now you see it now you don't)ghost flames. Mike Lavallee he does what is called True Fire. IF you look at a real fire there are lots of colors of blues,reds yellows and orange's and every now and then a some green's,depending on what you burning.
