This is another example of my frustrations of getting caught up in following a work in progress that isn't maintained or or just dies away. It's fascinating to follow for a while, then it evaporates. This build has been in progress for a year now. I wish more of our members would wait to publish a "build journal" after it's done, and not do a real-time work in progress if they're not going to finish the job. I understand that it's important to get responses and help along the way, but as I said, it's frustrating to follow something that doesn't go very far very soon.

Sorry, Shane, I don't understand what you're talking about. Where is this under glass? The OP just added another post about his WIP today. And please take a look at the last post.

Okay, I agree I should be more tolerant about the pace, and you have my apology. But it's kind of like watching a cliffhanger on a TV show that won't be back until a year later. You've established an avid audience, including me., who want to see more. Keep on truckin' and I'll look forward to seeing the finished product.

Its not "Under Glass" yet, I know that. But you mentioned waiting untill it was finished to post the progress, I dont know why anyone would post the progress after it was posted under glass,if it was posted it there that is. Thats all, just askin

ok i was gonna use PE wipers .. but them things are a pain in the butt... so i used the kit ones

but with a twist.. i drilled the body an added a short pin an then drilled a hole in the wiper.an added the wiper with out glue ..

now you have to move them buy hand one at a time but they are functional..

That is the most detail General Lee I have seen. What an amazing piece of work. Good things come to those who wait. Why rush it when you want it to be the best it can be? Love it very much. Congrats on all the time effort & detailing that went into this model. :) :) :) :)

Great work man. I really don't have enough words to express how magnificent this proyect is coming out. Keep on going buddy. Almost forgot. What kind of pins did you use for the wipers?

Posted

Hey fellas thanks for the kind words.... the pins on the wipers are.the ends of a small paper clip cut about 5mm ..

In keeping with your theme of most detailed GL ever... you might want to fix those wipers. The way they are now, they'd be wiping part of the roof on each pass back and forth! They're too long. You need to either shorten the arms or shorten the blades.

Hey! Darin wanted a roof cleaner too :P

Love this build :)

They may be too long , but they look just fine ! Those PE wipers are too expensive and impossible to fold !

Yeah I noticed that too after I putem on .. the bad thing is there from this kit.. so much for correct scale ... LOL. Ill cut them down tonight..

Thanks for noticing that Harry.
