the original gone in 60 seconds has my vote with bullit a close second

anyone who hasnt seen the driver should at least search for the garage scene on you tube

gumball rally was a good movie with some great moments

i havent seen mentioned king of the mountain

and if you like your chases old and kinda hokey looking check out hot rods to hell

The Expendables with the chase scene where they virtually destroy Stallones customized F-100.

What spoiled this one for me was how the stock chase cars (blazer?) were able to keep up with Stalone's West Coast Customs souped-up hot rod truck and awesome driving skills...

Anyone mention the Bond movies? Those had some really cool chases in them that included all kinds of spy gadgets, spiral jumps and a flying Matador...

My two favorites are from Bond films. The AMC chase from The Man with the Golden Gun is very cool, and I really like the chase in For Your Eyes Only between the Mercedes sedans and the lil yellow Citroen.

I like VP and Bullitt, with White Lightening a close third.

I chased the tires off a carjacked Altima right before retirement, literally chased the tires off. I spent the better part of a 20 minute pursuit dodging rubber and metal.

20 minutes seems like forever in a pursuit.

Bikini Beach. Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. Tommy Ivo was the Tech Advisor so the chase scene involves his hot rod buddies chasing the bad guy on a twin engine kart. They also have two runs of the Showboat 4 engine dragster that are miked. Silly beach movie but a fun car chase.

any of you "old timers" remember a movie where they were racing some T-buckets around a parking lot? guessing that was an early 60's movie

sounds like 'dragstrip girl' , lots of t racing around in that.

was it B&W ?

The worse chase scene I ever seen... Supervan !

Really diggin those vans, man!!

I like watching groaners like this from time to time..movies that probably cost as much to make as i pay rent..bad production value, bad acting and way off in the sound/video sync.

Thanks for the clip..it was great :)

Given the previous mention of C'etait un rendez-vous I'm surprised no one mentioned the Getaway in Stockholm series. Mind you, I've only ever seen the second one with the Escort RS Cosworth and the Supra, but its pretty cool.

I love the part where the guy gets the black grease on his lip.

His tongue burnt and he look like Hitler, I LMAO at him.

I think that was rat race.

Nobody has mentioned No Man's Land - D B Sweeney and Charley Sheen and a whole bunch of 911s. The airborne Camaro barrel roll through a Pepsi truck is pure stunt-art.

Also - as touge is based on the chase - Initial-D - both the anime and the Special Edition movie has some great Japanese car culture moments in it as well as some great drift footage.

And while I may risk execution - the Fast and Furious assemblage of celluloid abortions may have some of the most corny and contrived story lines - the driving and drifting in the movies possesses great talent.

I think you are are refering to the "Lively set" with James Darrin, and Dog Mclure. I liked that one too.
