empinut Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Answers for some questions: Turbo (or what looks like a turbo)was from a parted out Tamiya 1/12 scale kit. I created the exhaust piece by piece using parts box scraps. The wheels are shelby resin inserts from RMM on detail master aluminum rims. Wheel caps are the air cleaners from a meyers manx carb. In progress pics in the "on the bench" section under Shorty VW Craziness. Thanks for looking! Bill
Chuck Most Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Loved seeing it go together, love seeing the end result!
Erik Smith Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Very cool and nice work. I just saw a 1:1 the other day.
Sixties Sam Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 That's cool! That exhaust pipe looks menacing - like a cannon! Great body and finish work! I don't think I would want to drive a 1:1 version with that short wheelbase. Might be really twitchy! Nice model! Sam
