That paint is simply miles deep! You're doing this model some good justice, and I LOVE the new box art Round 2 has done for it!
edward smith Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Purplelicious, you are a badass when it comes to painting!
Ryan S. Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Man, that purple paint looks great on this. I'm enjoying watching this come together.
Mooneyzs Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 That Purple sure is Pretty. I can only Imagine what it will look like when the sun hits it.

Hey my friend, I am sorry, I feel I should have given you a more detailed answer to your question. I know Bob Dudek personally because he always shows up at the shows and to several of our monthly meetings. I dontl know if he has an emaill address or a phone number that you might get in contact so hopefully someone here might help. I didn't mean to brush you off with my response. I guess the next time I see him I will ask if it's okay to share the information here regarding his personal email or phone number....

meaneyme Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Really awesome Cruz, the tip on the compound use for the BMF is a good one, mine always seems to go on dull but I will try it with this product. I have 2 brand new bottles of that stuff and didn't even know.
Darren B Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 That thing is beautiful, you did an awesome job on this beauty.

I was able search his name and find his email address online. Shot him an email and he got back to me and talked to him on the phone. Got some parts coming in the mail and should have them this week. Thanks again for giving his name to me. I appreciate it, He is a really nice guy too. I was stoked that I was able to get a couple sets of those Hubcaps Looking forward to putting them on a build that I have them planned for.
cruz Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 Great! Bob is definitely one of the nicest guys you will ever want to meet and his stuff is top notch!

The embossing powders? Any good craft store like Michael's carries them. A little help here, look for them in the stamp department, they are powders that are for making fancy stamps, they are intended to be sprinkled over a glue, then heated, to make a shiny puffy ink style, we just don't heat them (obviously).
Skydime Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Gee oh! For something that doesn't have a ton of modifications, this thing is crazy good. The pure simplicity of that body with BMF, scallops, and super clean paint already take this one WAY over the top. Great work there and cannot wait to see it finished.
