There is a ton of resin casters out there, but we will foucus on a few.

Morgan Automotive Detail (www.madmodeling.com)

Kris Morgan is your source for pre-wired distributers! His castings are top-notch, free of flash and no air bubbles. His prices are very reasonable.

The Modelhaus (www.modelhaus.com)

Don Holthaus has about every part for every kit that was issued in the '60's and '70's. If you need a part from the '70's kits, look no further than the Modelhaus!

Model Car Designs (www.modelcardesigns.com)

Ian Ashton is your source for Mopar parts. His prices are reasonable. His parts are cast in beautiful white resin.

Missing Link Resin (www.missinglinkrc.com)

Missing Link has conversion kits for most subjects, as well as parts for Mopar, Ford, and Chevy. Items are cast in white resin.

There is many, many more but these are some of the best.

Happy Modeling!

OK...while I see what you're trying to do here (in general with the series of posts) I think this one kinda falls flat. When it comes to "aftermarket suppliers" there's a lot more out there than just resin parts and kits. Secondly, some of your generalizations here (that one caster offers most kits from a certain era, or another has conversions for the majority of kits) are overstatements. While those casters offer a ton of useful stuff, they don't come close to being the only comprehensive sources of those subjects. Lastly, there's a built-in assumption here that most people want to build 1/24-1/25 American cars only. For instance, your sources don't cover anything on F1 cars or foreign sports cars...and there are probably as many people that build those as anything else.

Your enthusiasm is laudible, and it's clear you're trying to put something positive into the hobby, but an incomplete list of resin casters is not really going to be as helpful as you probably intend it to be. Maybe do a little more research before posting lists like this? It'd be much more valuable in the long run.

I'm going to piggyback onto what Mark said here. It's obvious you enjoy the hobby, and I'd be the last person who'd want to take that away, but to put it bluntly, I don't think you've reached the level of building expertise I would expect of someone purporting to tell others which materials or techniques you consider best for sanding, gluing and painting. I'm hoping Harry or Gregg can dig up Mark's old tutorial written to help Nick W, among others. Mark has a gift for writing in a straightforward manner that doesn't "talk down" to anyone, while not being above anyone's comprehension either.

When you write trite little paragraphs that barely skim the surface in terms of worthwhile information being passed on, it kinda comes off like this

I hope you can be mature enough to consider what I'm saying here.

Their are many many others out their with great parts and accessories for a model build. Perhaps instead of ONLY posting your favorite aftermarket vendors you should just create a links thread and post up all of them. Otherwise this 101 just looks like a big ad for your favorites.
