ViperDave Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Just a few progress pics. It should be done in a couple of days.
MrObsessive Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Oooooooh! Lookin good so far Dave! Beautiful British Racing Green! I owned the smaller Midget (a '71) and loved the car......but it's quirky electrics drove me nearly insane after 6 months so I got rid of it. ................And yes, for those of you wondering, I could fit in the Midget with no problem (circa 1985).............Not so sure about now!
Peter Lombardo Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Dave, very nice. I have that kit, haven't started it yet, other then to open the doors and hood. I own a '77 mgb so I want to replicate my car. which is currently in the process of being redone ( engine rebuild with minor "hop up" and a conversion to chrome bumpers, from the ugly rubber bumpers.) I love the interior detailing you did. I also really like the wire wheels in that kit. Very nice work. I 'm looking forward to seeing it complete, and Bill, you must have been really tight in that midget. I have trouble getting into the b, let alone a midget.
ViperDave Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 I wonder is this is what Bill looked like driving the midget. http://www.autopuzzles.com/Fury%20Junior.jpg
jbwelda Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 one thing to note about the "prince of darkness"/lucas electrics that are so notorious: you would be amazed how well they work if you just put in new wiring harnesses. i know that from experience with 5 brit/pod-equipped cars ive owned. ps: q: why do brits like warm beer? a: because lucas makes their refrigerators! q: how come the brits never made a personal computer? a: they couldnt figure out how to make it leak oil! that said, my 54 MGTF didnt leak a drop after i rebuilt the motor with modern seals. course it helped to never put any in in the first place. pps: nice mgb there.

Jeff Johnston Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 ooh great kit ! You don't see those much. i have a 1/32 scale (looke 43rd though) that I have been messing with for a couple years on and off. I had the chance to buy the 1/24 scale curbside and I did not buy it. Dunno why.
