Danno Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I TRIED to resist that. I really did. But, in the end ... I just couldn't. Sorry.

I will add the word "awesome" to every post I make! PS: I still miss the ninja emoticon, Gregg! Free the ninja! Otherwise, I may have to have some T-shirts, posters and signs made up! Mahalo, BK! If this rule would have been around a long time ago, Danno would only have around 500 posts.................

Who dat? Oh, looky here. Up from the ashen past rises ... sleeping beauty! Where've you been? Oh, yeah. Just showing up in time to take a shot. Better late than never. Make it a good one, dude! (That one was a little lame.) * Actually, I'd still have as many posts, but Harry would be whining about all the bandwidth my more lengthy commentaries would have gobbled up. Just can't please him. And, you, Flash, still get the crusty: There's always enough bandwidth to treat you to the crusty you so diligently work for and so richly deserve! Another, just for sport! Nice to see you could find your keyboard. Don't be such a stranger ... oh, wait. You can't help that. Just don't be so scarce.

I don't really get this, as the emoticons do actually comment on the topic. What rally is the difference between me saying, "I thought that was funny" and, " ", or If the topic is something like Revell cancels the new release everyone has been waiting for, doesn't express my sadness? i'd rather see just an emoticon rather than a long winded whine. but that is just me I guess.
oldscool Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) The message I'm getting from this topic is this: If one doesn't have something profound and meaningful to say then one is just wasting band width. Come on, it's just a model car forum! We aren't addressing the nation on issues of national security here. I visit here for enjoyment and entertainment but it might be time for me to move on if things are going to be so rigidly structured. I get enough of that at work! gus Edited July 31, 2011 by oldscool

More rules... = less interest in participation. At least from me. W/ all the past arguments, fighting, and now more restrictions, I am trying to cut back. I have been in a building funk lately, and frankly, that puts my in "outcast" status here. I have indeed seen posts, not aimed to me, but just made in general. Like Gus said, if this place gets bunched up with more & more rules & regulations, then the "why bother" attitude sets in. At least to me it does. Many have posted some VERY good posts here. Really do not care those who quote a series of photos, just to make a short comment. Still think this model board rocks! But the interest... that wanes. Feel free to pick the appropiate emoticon.
Art Anderson Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hmmmm, if I reply very small, very quiet, does that help? (Dadbum it--where's my microscope when I need it to read, huh?

Danno Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I wholeheartedly agree with Art, as usual. (Laughing Out Loud emoticon would appear here.)
