The Creative Explorer Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 This one got finished too, I had to add a door-mirror since it didn't came with the kit. But even though I went through it quite fast, it was a amusing project.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Nice lines and details on that model. Congrats.
Monty Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I hope a lot of our less experienced members get a chance to see this. Erik was able to take a simple AMT curbside kit and enhance it to the point where any one of us would be proud to have it parked on our shelves. It's all about mastering the fundamentals. Can't wait to see what your next project is going to be, Erik.
Eshaver Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Monty, great point !!!!!!!!!!! Yes , the Wildcat came out nicely , very nicely indeed . Ed Shaver

Sam Cates Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Very clean build, black looks really good on it. Definitely something I would drive!

Chuck Most Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I hope a lot of our less experienced members get a chance to see this. Erik was able to take a simple AMT curbside kit and enhance it to the point where any one of us would be proud to have it parked on our shelves. It's all about mastering the fundamentals. Can't wait to see what your next project is going to be, Erik. And I also hope the guys who don't like full-detail kits see it as well. You don't need a 300-piece kit to make an impressive model. A good, clean build and good detailing are all it takes. Fantastic Buick, Erik!
sjordan2 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Erik, that is just spectacular. Fine, precise work. I'd love to see some shots of the interior.
charlie8575 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Plans for mine include Burgundy Mist with a black interior. If I get adventurous, I might try a vinyl top, and do that in white. Nice job, Erik. it's always nice to see a Buick built. Charlie Larkin
