whale392 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) OK guys, since considerable interest was shown in the FOX CBP/open ended thread for inclusion of the FOX4 cars/SN95 platform, I have decided to open a second thread for these cars. All SN95s are welcome here; 1994-2004 Mustangs and their derivatives (Cobras, Cobra-Rs, Bullitts, Mach 1s, GTSs, Saleens, Roushes). Go for it guys, make this your new SN95 home! Edited September 11, 2011 by whale392
Olskoolrodder Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Well you know I'll be getting in on it! I was one of those expressing said interest,LOL! Currently,I'm getting ready to start a 94 GT ragtop conversion,HT Cobra (using the parts from the first conversion),and soon afer a '96 Cobra too (maybe a Saleen S281 as well...yeah,I gots it bad! ).
Maindrian Pace Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Well, I don't have one that I'm currently working on, but if I decide to start one, I have plenty of these things to choose from. They somehow multiplied. -MJS
Eric Stone Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Mike, if you wanna get rid of one of those Tamiya Cobra R's, let me know.... I have a few SN95s- a Monogram 94 Indy Pace Car, AMT 95 Cobra, Revell 99 Cobra, and one of the Saleen Speedsters that hasn't had any parts stolen yet. If this is an open-ended deal, I'll post progress of any of those here. I'd say they're all back burner projects, but that would be a lie since they're not even on the stove at this point. I plan on doing the 99 as a replica of a friend's black stock 99 Cobra, and the Indy Pace Car will be exactly that, to go along with the 79 I plan on doing eventually. Sure bums me out that only one New Edge car was done. We need a Bullitt, Mach I, Terminator, Cobra R, and GT to go along with that lonely 99 Cobra.
Olskoolrodder Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Yeah, this should be an open ended cbp, just like the Fox Chassis sister thread Maindrain Pace-Nice collection,my friend! I don't have that many of em,but I'm getting there,LOL! I need to find another '99 Cobra or 3,when the old house burned back in June, the 2 I had were kinda melted,LOL! I got's time though, they're not too hard to find (just have to find one when the wife isn't with me to say :What!? ANOTHER kit???" )
whale392 Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Good to see this start to get some traffic! I fully intend this to remain open-ended, just like the FOX thread. Mike, your SN collection looks like my FOX collection! I have about 2/3rds of your SNs in my stash, but will admit to using them to update/detail my FOXes.
Rick Schmidt Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I think I'll slide in too Got an SN and a New Edge to go at
Olskoolrodder Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Hey there,Rick ol buddy! How's ya doin'? Scored this off eVilbay this eve.... ...but I doubt I'll pull it's wheels off for my build project, since it's a virtual clone of my 1:1 OOB... SO sooner or later,I'll be looking for another to score another set of those wheels,LOL!
whale392 Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Stephen, got two words of advice for future use of those wheels..............resin copies! That way, you don't have to worry about finding another die-cast! Good score by the way.
Rick Schmidt Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Not Fair Steve ya found wheels that Matchj ya 1/1 ... I probably gotta scrath up some to match mine on my 01 I need to get after that 99 Cobra I have and get to turning it into my 1/1
Kaleb Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) I wish I could scratch build the parts I need to replicate what I want to do on my car. ....Unfortunately mine has has been down three years, Im buying parts to rebuild a 98 8.8 rear end right now. Edited September 13, 2011 by Kaleb
Tony T Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Another spot to post Mustang builds! Sweet!! I've got a couple of these...the yellow 94, the pace car...cool...
Olskoolrodder Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 IDK Rick...never seen those in scale-that don't mean that they weren't made,I just never seen em. Kaleb-that'll be sweet when you get her back on the road! Kool beans on the 8.8" too
Abell82 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 It'll be awhile before I can get an SN95 started, but to show some love and support here are a couple of builds from the past... sorry for the old pics, but they are old builds.
Olskoolrodder Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Good looking Stangs, whethe build last week or last century! I likes em! And you get the honor of having been the first to post up some builts in here too
whale392 Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 OK Rick, idea time here. Since those wheels do have center caps covering the lug area, have you looked at modifying a set of the 1979-mid84 TRX wheels? The TRX had similar spoke pattern, only were convex versus concave. Some work with a hobby knife and a motor tool could get you close enough to a working prototype and subsequent resin copies.

I just noticed those Shelby style "side scoops". Where did you find them? I could use a set on my '99. Tony
Guest Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I may get in on this one after I finish my Glue Bomb Invitational build. I have a '99 Cobra that I want to convert into a GT convertible to match my real car and I have a '98 Cobra (crappy Boyd's issue) that I want to build as a stripped out drag car. Plus, it's been a while since I've built a Mustang of any kind. It's definitely time to do one!
Abell82 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Um guys, those wheels the base v6 ones, aren't they available in the amt snap fast plus kit? The pic Maindrain pace posted shows them, or am I mistaken? The middle kit
Maindrian Pace Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Nope, those are the '94-'95 17" tri-bars. They might be a good one to convert to the 15" 6cyl wheels, as they look more like a 16" wheel in scale. -MJS
CrewDawg15 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Cool CPB! I just got back to Japan from my forced summer 4 month summer "vacation" in Alaska If you don't mind, I'd like to join in. It'll give me an excuse to build my Tamiya Mustang that I've had sitting on my shelf for the last 15 years Jimmy
whale392 Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Jimmy, you are ALWAYS welcome, Brother!
Olskoolrodder Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Yessiree,the more the merrier!!! :D
