I started this project with the old Aoshima Nissan Terrano Low Rider kit that I got off e-bay.

I basically converted it from a 1991-1995 5-door model into a 1987-1990 3-door model. I also gave it what I like to call a "redneck lift kit". Basically this entails adding some rear coil spring extensions out of "pipe", making some new control arms, and making a new cradle for the front suspension and differential housing. I also had to modify the torsion bars to get them at the angle I wanted. Interior is stock except I converted the dash to LHD (basically had to cut it into 5 pieces and reassemble it) and I had to add seatbacks (why it doesn't have any, I don't know.)

The exterior got all the addons that came with the kit, minus the running boards and mudflaps. I decided to give it a two-tone similar to factory, with black and bright red along with a gold stripe to separate the colors. Wheels are from the kit, and they fit perfect in a set of resin-rubber tires I got from Ma's Resins.

You know it's funny, I'm surprised how well the 2-door conversion actually did turn out. I was having trouble getting the bondo to sand flat the right way and I didn't think the paint would make it look as smooth as I thought it was. Of course, I'm glad that I was at least able to get the positioning of the slanted pillar correct, since that's important for the look. I found a picture of one other person who did this on the 'net and they had the pillar too far forward.

Looks awesome, i love it that you made it a 2 door, i like the lines on that one better. I have always liked the back side windows.

Now i see, that you built a 2-door, didn't seen it on the box. Wow - thats great! Well done!

I like the colors with the golden trim. They play good together, the colors. Very Nice!
