eviltwincustoms Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I agree with Chris, nice job on the wishbone. I admire you using brass and giving soldering a go.

Prostreet Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) Little update, Shocks are mounted and ride hieght set. Gonna start on the anti-roll bar tommarrow, Waiting for some parts for the frontend and some parts from RB motion. Hope to start on the front end by weeks end, Also started messing with the driveshaft. Let me know what ya think about the ride height. I swear i spend more time staring at it and figuring than i do building. Edited January 30, 2012 by Prostreet
futurattraction Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Joe, I just wanted to chime in and say how great your wishbone looks and what nice progress you're making. I can certainly identify with spending five times more looking and thinking than actually doing. It's the price a guy pays for trying to do it right (and hopefully only once!)... Not that it's a sure thing! LOL
Mooneyzs Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Joe... the ride height is looking great man. I can't tell you how many times I have sat there looking at my funny car and not getting much done on it but thinking about how I will do it.. Its worth the time to me to figure it out and do it right.
Romell R Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Hey Joe did you make the drive shaft joints or buy them ( if so where did you buy it from?) they look great!
Mooneyzs Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Rom.... the drive shaft joints look like they could possibly be TDR's products they sell thru Shapeways. The only reason I say this is i have some on order from them and it looks like their material they use.
Prostreet Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 THx. Guys , Rom the joints are from TDR. I used 3/32 styrene tube to make the caps, I had file the tube to make it fit the yoke. Once ther glued in a finished it should look great, and it is functional like a real one.

Romell R Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 wow i really need to keep up with you guys , can anyone give me the link to TDR / Shapeways? I need to check them out!
blackbeard Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 how would I get some of the tdr/ shapeways stuff and is there a web sitefor them
futurattraction Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Scott I have done things over 2 or more times on this build lol, 1/16 could use some more support hint hint , lol Hey Joe, I'm actually working on some things that I hope to get into 1/16th builders' hands before too long. I've got some drilled brake rotors, brake handle, dual upright NOS bottle mounts and window bezels drawn up. Just need to get some extra $$ rounded up so I can get them ordered. I may work on some 4-link brackets too, when time permits.
Mooneyzs Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Scott... that is awesone to hear that you a.re agetting a few things in the works. I still owe you a list of a few 1/25th stuff i want to order from you
Prostreet Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Guys here is the TRD site, when you click on something it will take you to shapeways to order. Expect a couple weeks from order to receiveing your stuff maybe a hair more, You won't be dissappointed. https://sites.google.com/site/tdrinnovations/ Hey Joe, I'm actually working on some things that I hope to get into 1/16th builders' hands before too long. eviltwincustoms Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Very cool Joe... Question did you change out the springs or are those the new springs from Jim? My other question since you are asking about ride height.. What are your measurements? Then I can tell you if you are good or not.
Prostreet Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Bart: I'm a hair under an 1/8" I would like it lower just for looks, But ithink it looks good where it is also. I acctually bought a little plastic box of springs from harbor frieght in the section with all there screws, nuts etc. I think they wroked out perfect.
eviltwincustoms Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Yep then you are good. a scale 2" behind the front wheel and in front it will need to be 3". I will have to check out harbor freight then.
Romell R Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Thx Joe for that link to TDR I was able to get some quality parts look for em in my build soon LOL!
Prostreet Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) No problem Rom. Got the anti-roll bar done except for the links. Edited February 1, 2012 by Prostreet
