Jeff Johnston Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I had one of these...back in 86. I planned to build a replica of mine, which I partially did...Mine had white seats and no t-top. But for whatever reason I did a close enough. The wheels are the same was was on mine, as well as the decals. It wasn't a Smokey and the Bandit version, but did have the gold on the rally wheels like this one does.

Jantrix Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Oh nice. I much prefer the Pontiac rally wheels to the honeycomb style. Nice work.
Dominik Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Wow - looks great! Very good job on the dashboard!
kelson Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Sharp looking build!,is the amt kit or the monogram version?and were their any problems in assembly to look out for?
Jeff Johnston Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Sharp looking build!,is the amt kit or the monogram version?and were their any problems in assembly to look out for? Thanks guys. Kelson no build issues at all. One thing I did was leave the inserts out of the wheels backs. I did this so that the wheels sat higher inside the wheel well. If I had not done that it would have say too high. Otherwise the kit just falls together like many of the monogram kits of that era.
hd2500gmc Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Nice Trans Am!! All around nice build....
