Harry P. Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Remember... Moebius posted photos of the test shot for the world to see. They knew that comments, criticism and critique would follow. Obviously they wanted comments, criticism and critique, otherwise they would never have given us the opportunity! Moebius wanted to hear from us, they did hear from us, and in the end a better model kit was the result. I say kudos to the people who offered their thoughts and even bigger kudos to Moebius for the action they took. All model manufacturers should be so "in tune" with their customers! "Bashing" is gratuitous complaining or criticizing with no basis or reasoning to back it up.This idea that anyone is "bashing" the Hudson kit is unfounded, IMO (at least as far as this forum is concerned).
Harry P. Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 If any of you guys want to go at each other, do it in private via PM.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 In the meantime, several of us are building this kit hoping for excellent results . . . so let's stay focused on some more building fun! Yes!
59 Impala Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I thought that "Bashing" meant Bashing it against the wall when ya get ticked off at the model. I guess I was wrong huh? Oh well, back to building somethin. My Hudson is in line to get built fer sure. Me likie it. LOL (again). Dan
Harry P. Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Glad that's settled! After all, we have to save up some bashing for when the Chrysler 300 comes out!
Craig Irwin Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I think I'll go build something, maybe a 69 Camaro or 57 Chevy.........
Danno Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Glad that's settled! After all, we have to save up some bashing for when the Chrysler 300 comes out! Oh, gee. The life-grinches have a '59 Rambler SW being re-issued so they can get all lathered up about its 'obvious deficiencies,' etc., etc., etc. ad naseum in addition to the Chrysler 300. Life's good for the P&M'ers.
Rob Hall Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Maybe someone will kitbash the Rambler wagon w/ the Hudson and the new '48 Ford kit. Do something different
Joe Handley Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Maybe someone will kitbash the Rambler wagon w/ the Hudson and the new '48 Ford kit. Do something different If it had some under detail, I'd be tempted to kit bash it with Tamiya's Jeep Wrangler....if I can find one of those..................
Chuck Most Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Oh, gee. Life's good for the P&M'ers. At least they won't be able to gripe over the innaccurate battery and air cleaner on the engine as far as the Rambler goes.
Chuck Most Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hey... ease off the R&R pal, I love polishing those turds! In fact, one of my Hudson projects is using the R&R '48 Hudson sedan body on the new '53 Moebius chassis. Imagine the complaints on THAT little project!
Eshaver Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 At least they won't be able to gripe over the innaccurate battery and air cleaner on the engine as far as the Rambler goes. Give em enough rope , they eventually will. Meanwhile , the fenders are wrong on that kit . Yep, fenders are supossed to be in scale about an 8th longer . I don't care as i fixed mine easily enough when the kit was around the first time . I guess I'll buy another and try a sedan now too. Ed Shaver
