I'm planning on coming by for a little while. Not sure what time yet as I'm waiting to hear from a contractor to tell me when he is coming by on Saturday to give me a price on a patio roof and making my driveway bigger.

Thanks and the rest of that page should be up later today. So be sure to check it.

Website looks great, Marty!! Great job!

I went, I saw, I bought.. :) Found a couple goodies-Fujimi '71 Monza winner Porsche 917K and an AMT '32 Ford Tudor (I have the modern Revell one, but have always wanted the AMT one).

I just came back from there. Didn't buy anything. Nice little meet, most kits were mid '80s and newer, very little older than that. Most dealers clearly hold back the good stuff for ebay.

I was there. Lots of models. Not much large scale stuff tho'. This was my first experience at a model swap meet. Pretty cool! I got to meet some of the fellas from the this forum. I ran into Sport Suburban - Raoul. I had

met him from a past model kit purchase. I got to meet and talk with: martinfan5 - Jonathan, Agent G - Wayne, Danno - Dan, PlasticKits - Dale aka HERE, and Moomeyzs - Chris. I met and talked with some other folks,

but I don't remember or didn't get their names. My appologies if you're on this forum.

I just want to say Thank You to the guys I met, for making me feel so welcome!

It was pretty cool ~~~ that a simple swap meet turned into an informal "club"-like get together! David G, My80Malibu (Gabe), Steve Keck, Jeff Alderman, Mark Anderson, and Scott Stockdill stopped in, too!

The guys also got to meet our Most Infamous Lurker - Dan Doane! He never misses a thread, but never posts a word. I think he only pays half his internet bill so they only let him read!

Keith also met gasser59 - Brad, and got a chance to see both Brad's and Chris' amazing builds ... live!

Agent G and I spent some time comparing our 'war stories' and swapping lies ... that was great fun for us (and what a great guy he is! Just as I suspected.) Our amazing exploits entertained one and all.

Mrs. G is a sweetheart ~ but I learned that not only is she a sainte for tolerating G, but she also holds her own and dishes it back to G pretty well! LOL. She and The Lovely and Gracious Mrs. B would get along extremely well, but I don't know if we want them sharing notes!

Three of us had adjoining tables ... PlasticKits, Mike Kucaba, and I. It became MCM Forum headquarters! And a great time was had by all!

The drive was definately worth it. Not only did I meet several forum members, I was able to swap war stories with Danno. It seems the "B" man and I have quite a bit in common, scary actually. Keith, Jonathan and Dale were listening intently, not quite fully believing the tales. I assure you gentlemen, no lies were told.

;)

MrsG thoroughly enjoyed herself, and I too think it's best we keep her and MrsB away from each other for a bit. Danno and I require additional time to, ahem, set the record straight first.

ie. "You lie, I'll swear to it."

:D

I obtained some kits, actually MrsG insisted I purchase them, which I so desperately needed. Ya gotta love a wife who supports the hobby.

She is a princess, and I truly believe this time I got it right.

Yes it was, thanks. No overturned autos, medivac choppers, UFO's, or angry aliens interfered on the drive back.

I am still disappointed by the new bridge over the Colorado river though. The retaining walls are just tall enough to prevent a spectacular view of the Hoover Dam or the valley below.

Then again, me thinks thats the point.
