  1. This weeks Hobby Lobby coupon is available on their website. Here's a link to the coupon: http://www.hobbylobby.com/weekly/
  2. Got mine two days ago! It's in excellent condition. But I think the "Wayback Machine" is running again. Check the year date on the cover. Mine says May/June 2010. Excellent issue as usual! Great info! Have A Great Day!
  3. Not married. But I lost my Mom to Breast cancer and my Step-Mom is an amazing survivor. Would I do this for them?! ABSOLUTELY!!! Have A Great Day!
  4. Awesome work on the pan and head gaskets! Adds a whole new dimension of realism. Of course you know you're gonna' have to do the rest of the gaskets as well. Intake, blower, and injector hat. GREAT work buddy! Have A Great Day!
  5. How 'bout a NHRA Super Gas car!
  6. Haven't played this before. I'll give it a go. It's real and I believe it to be an Excelsior. Could be wrong, it's happened before. Have A Great Day!
  7. It was a pleasure to meet and hang out with you Rommell. Your builds are even greater in person! Thanks for posting up the pics. I'm in the second row, second from left, kneeling next to "Mark the Tree" in the BBQ shot.
  8. What a great show! It was my first, certainly not my last. I had the distinct pleasure of hanging out with Rommel Robinson, John Teresi, Brad Norgaard, Art Laski, Chris Sobak and many others. Some really awesome builds on the tables. Thanks to Danno and his lovely wife for opening their house to us. The BBQ and the company were great. THANK YOU!!! Thanks, guys, for letting this "born-again" modeler hang out with you all! Have A Great Day!!!
  9. Anyone check the flat head Ford firing order, 15863372. It should be 15486372, the same as the y-block Ford. I guess MSD doesn't feel the need to fire number 4 on a flattie. Apparently no proof reading. Have A Great Day!
  10. YAY!!! Primer! A milestone! Can't wait to see it next weekend! Have A Great Day!
  11. Hey! Brudda, Also check with Charlie at Pro Tech, http://protechmodelparts.com/, he's a member of the MCM forum. He'll probably chime in to help you out. The concensus is, he has the best braided line available. And his fittings are great too. He has an engine build on the forum that uses only his products, check it out, http://www.modelcars...showtopic=52395. Let me know if you need some help determining the proper line and fitting sizes. I'm certainly no expert, but I do have a lot of experience with AN plumbing. Have A Great Day! Brudda Keith
  12. Chris... I'm glad you liked the vids. As for a contact at Snake Racing, you should ask the folks in the Facebook group "Dedicated to Saving the Hobby of Building Drag Racing Models in 1/16 Scale". Whew, that's a long name! I'm in that group, you're in that group, there's lots of knowledgable people there. You never know who might have an answer for you. Ask 'em! Have A Great Day!!! p.s. I've put the K & O rear-engine digger away for a while, until I improve my skill set some more. I want to do the justice to that model it deserves. No worries though... I'm still building models, honing my skills, and learning from you all.
  13. Hi! Chris, Let me say that artistic license must be used when lack of accurate research material is available. Assumptions and speculations must be made. Which you have done very well in my opinion. These are my observations. Thanks for the enhanced pic. The first thing I saw was no hoses to the tank are visible. I see the one mounting tab and breather. No screw on cap. This led me to look back at some of your reference and build pics. I see that the breather tubes go into the bottom rail of the frame ahead of the engine. You have done this in the build, but at the back of the frame you have the breather lines exiting the top rail of the frame behind the roll cage. This would indicate that the top and bottom rails are open to each other. Possible, but not likely. This takes me back to the puke tank at the rear of the frame. My thought/speculation is that the hoses to the puke tank come from the open end of the bottom frame rail up to the puke tank. Which would explain why they are not visible in the pic. With the size of the hoses used the puke tank probably just hangs from that small crossmember by just the one tab and supported by the large size of the hose. The tank also appears to be small, not going the full width of the frame. PLEASE know that this is a Fantastic build, and this, by no means is a criticism. They are just my observations and thoughts. I'm REALLY anxious to see this build in person. You're doing a Great job!!! I went looking for some better pics this morning and found these two videos you might like. The first one (filmed by Prudhomme himself) shows some details I was not aware of. Particularly the roof hatch. Checfk them out, hope you like them. Have A Great Day!!!
  14. Hi! Chris, Nice work buddy! If I may, I think a two-bolt tab on each end of the tank on top of the frame rail. That would have been easy for the crew to access for maintenance. There would be threaded bungs in the frame rail, not bolted thru the frame rail. Keep up the awesome work! I can't wait to see this build in person! Have A Great Day!
  15. I get: National Dragster (NHRA member) Performance Racing Industry The Rodder's Journal AIR & SPACE Smithsonian Hot Rod Hot Rod Deluxe Popular Hot Rodding Model Cars magazine and what ever interests me on the magazine rack. That's about it! Have A Great Day!
  16. The Wayback Machine is set for the winter of 1971. We find ourselves in the Don Prudhomme pit at the '71 Winternationals! Enjoy! Have A Great Day!
  17. Hi! Kevin, This pic is in the lastest issue of National Dragster, which arrived in today's mail. Thought you might like it. I too called Fremont Raceway home. Spent a lot of time there with my Dad and the car club we belonged to (the Hayward Drag Club). Spent a lot of time there before the club as well. My Sister and I feel like we were practically raised out there. I bought the 1/16 Revell and Aurora model kits when they first came out. Still have them... unbuilt! I see you posted a lot already, but welcome to the forum! Have A Great Day!
  18. Hey Chris, I haven't posted in a while, but I've been watching. Fantastic work, as usual! Congrats on the new job! I'll be looking for you at the Desert Classic. My buddy, Bruce Tanaka (Brudda on the MCM forum), will be coming down from Reno, NV for the DC. That would be Clayton Harris. He ran the Exremely narrowed rearend and a mono-strut rear wing. Have A Great Day!
  19. I've been to SEMA. 1993, I think. WOW! Almost 20 years ago! My Dad and I went. It is not open to the public (no strollers, screaming children, or kids putting their hands on displays) Industry or business folks only. My Dad had a performance business and he knew a lot of folks in the performance industry. It's worth going to. Take your good walking shoes. If you know someone with a shop or something, they can probably get you in. It's open for a week. It will take all week to see everything. LOTS of eye candy for the Doc! Have A Great Day!
  20. Ther's a Fotki link below the pic in the OP. Have A Great Day!
  21. Hi! guys, Here's a reference pic I have on file. Hope this helps settle the debate. Have A Great Day!
  22. Hey! Bruce, Welcome to the MCM forum. I'm so glad you're on here! So, you're workin' on that Lola you picked up when you were here. Cool! The guys/gals here will be a great help to you! And don't be bashful about showin' off some of your builds. Have A Great Day! p.s. Introduce yourself. These folks will love your builds!
  23. Me too! I got a 1 year subscription from Santa. Haven't got my first issue yet. Can't wait! Have A Great Day!
