Thor Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Hi I started a new project now that the Mercdes altered is done. This car is a 1932 Ford Hotrod with a Ansen tuned 4 banger engine. It will be a hiboy style with big and littles. I`m sofar in the mock up stages but i have scratched a new header (bit tricky )
charlie8575 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Now THIS is cool! Where did you find the speed parts? Charlie Larkin
Thor Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 the speed parts where in a old revell kit of a 29 panel delivery and i thought i could use it in a 32 for an unusual(spell check ) engine choice
Dr. Cranky Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Another wonderful 32! Keep it going, it's looking very cool.
High octane Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Nice work on the Deuce so far, lookin' good!
Tom Setzer Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Cool Idea, I have been thinking about doing a 4 Banger 32 Roadster, as an early 30s Gow Job. I have a 29 Roadster and all of the parts gathered and ready to Build it as a Riley Head equiped 4 Banger 30s Dry Lakes Car. I'll be watching your build, I like what I see so far. Are You using a Traditional Transverse leaf spring front and rear suspension? The four bar coil over suspension would look out of place on this build. CHEERS! Tom
Wagoneer81 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 'Unusual' is correct, but it's somethin that a rodder with little money could have easily done... "Hmm... I just grenaded my V8... Dad has that old 4-banger stashed in the corner of the garage... BINGO! Problem solved!" I have several of the old Ford 4-bangers in my stash, flathead and OHV... they just haven't made it into any builds yet... I like the OHV conversion... and your scratchbuilt header turned out great!
AMT Pacemakers Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Funny!! I thought it would be "unusual" as well, I'm building the 32 roadster with the same engine, same speed parts as well..full fendered early 60's, OH WELL. Robert

You could buy severa Crate Motor, V8s for the price of that Riley Head it is a very rare a sought after piece by car collecters, so Dear Old Dad would probably Kick Sonny Boys Behind so hard he would probably have to set on a very very soft cushion for the rest of his life! I saw a 31 four banger with a Riley Head Go at Auction Earlier this year for $73,000 It was on a Run in Stand so they could Crank it up. The Stand did not go with the engine! CHEERS! Tom

Chuck Most Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I'm building a four-banger powered Deuce as well (mine's a five window, though), so I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this one.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Great job on the weathering. Looks fabulous. I like it. Keep it going.
Sixx Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 That's AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it !!
Joker Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Love the Ol' School theme. Great work on the body.
John Goschke Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Wow! You've got my attention! That weather metal finish is one of the best I've seen. Love that it's got banger-power, too.
Draggon Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 What a fantastic job on weathering that body!
Thor Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 First of all , Thanks for nice replies I have done a little more to the wheels so i could put it on tires. Then i wanted to see the stance for the first time and now i understand the meaning of "hiboy"
