Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Eye candy Friday is alive and well with Doozy's insistence upon making masterpieces: This time WINDY BOOKS CAFE
W-409 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 WOW, this is absolutely AMAZING!!! Those little details make it look really realistic. Truly amazing job, I don't know what to say about it.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Doozy is from Japan, and he's building some amazing vehicles to make small vignettes and dioramas.
W-409 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Looks like Japanese people can build models very nicely too. I haven't seen any Japanese build, or then I just haven't noticed that builder really is from Japan. Great job.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Niko, there are some amazing builders in Japan. And Doozy is among the best. His focus is on civilian vehicles which Doctor Cranky loves.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Glad you are enjoying it. I woke up this morning to it, and it's gotten my Friday headed in the right direction!
Modelmartin Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Best ever scale microwave I have ever seen!!! The whole model reminds me of of "Hollywood's" VwW bus Tiki bar from a few years ago. Very fun and cool.
trogdor Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I just googled his name and found your video Cranky Amazing detail
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Andy, yes, it does remind me of it too. Well, it's the little details that both Doozy and Hollywood share. It's the attention to the little details and they get them perfect.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Rick, yes, thank you. That vid is from earlier this year when I found Yasu's work and I did a few flips and the Curly Howard on the floor. His work is amazing. I'd give anything to see it in person, but then I would have to travel to Japan.
LAone Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 he has some awesome builds. the detail is just insane. love his work. niko, i am surprised that you have not seen any builds from the japanese..they have some amazing builds over there.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 I am utterly delighted you are all enjoying Yasu's work. He deserves all the attention and more. He truly is a master painter, builder, and he is getting quite a following all over the world, as he should.
Diesel Gypsy Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 My flabber is well & truly gasted. Staggering build.
Skydime Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I could build from now to the day I die and not be able to build something that nice and detailed. Three thumbs up...providing I can borrow one from someone else.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Ken, all we can do is try and enjoy the hobby, and relish the fact that one of our own can make such beautiful work. Strive to be the best, and enjoy the journey.
Dragline Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 The VW Vignette is astounding in scope and detail. Every item seems to be as it should be. WOW.... Bob
