krazyglu Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Dr. Cranky awesome build and I to was quite inspired by Nate's art work. He has a very different style of drawing and painting cars than I do and Its great to see other artist interpretations. Thank you for sharing the Ak products with us.....I will definitely have to invest in them. I really love this model Cranky you did a great job.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 Thanks, everyone. We'll keep on building and sharing the builds here cause you guys keep feeding me energy through your work. Nate Greco is fabulous. I really like his stuff, and someone should do his infamous DISTURBING THE GREASE Caddy Hearse.
jeff ewaskey Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Doc that is killer!!!!!!! Your imagination seems limitless and I applaud your originality. Great stuff.
Daniel Peterson Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Do you have any idea how wrong and on how many different levels this build is...well...wrong? I salute you, sir. And I would love to include this in our club's newsletter, if you don't mind.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks, Dan, here at the Lab-RAT-ory the CREW always strives for WRONG whenever possible! LOL. Of course, by all means, use it, and please email me a copy when it is done for my scrap book! THANK YOU!
Nitrozilla Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 As usual, here's me running behind. I gotta stop building so much and pay more attention to the forums. Dr. Virgil, you went outside the box, around the box, thru the box and then proved there is no box. The fuel feed tube to the charger lines is awesome. Great touch to a great build.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks, Joe. Yes, I am still tinkering with a few things, but I'm also gearing up to build now new (I mean old) 41 Willyses! I just love that kit.

Modlbldr Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 That is a cool build. What an idea. Where can I find more of Nate's work?? Later-
Brian Fishburn Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 The rust/chipping/patina/coating of mung is just awesome.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Lyle Willits Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Not trying to nit-pick or be a p.i.a. (although I guess I am), but it can't be a gasser. It's an altered. A gasser has to have fenders and street-legal equipment, lights, etc. With THAT said,,,,,,,,,WOW, what a wild and creative model !!!
Dr. Cranky Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks for the kind words, Lyle. That's an easy fix, I think.
