mrmike Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 This is my '66 Shelby GT350H painted in Model Master Wimbelton White and built box stock.
mrmike Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks Mike! My condolences on the passing of Axle. I had to put down my beloved Golden Retriever Dakota on June 21, 2011. It is like losing a family member. May they both rest in peace. Thanks Liam!

Haubenschild Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 what colour did you use to paint the steering wheel
Space Cowboy Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Mike that is one hot Pony. Great job on the paint and stripes..................
W-409 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Great build! I haven't seen too many Mustangs being built, this one is great exception. Color looks very good, and paintjob is awesome. I like the engine too. Those stripes fit nicely. Great and clean build.
Guest Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Nice Shelby. I have on in the works, same scheme, except I am using the 10 spoke Shelby wheels.
mrmike Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 Thank you guys! what colour did you use to paint the steering wheel I started with Model Master Wood and when dry, I coated the rim with Tamiya Clear Orange and then I picked out the rim screws with a sewing pin and Model Master Chrome Silver.
Haubenschild Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Good, the next time i am painting wood parts i will use your technique thanks mike!
bsoder Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 She looks great Mike!..don't usually see this in the white/gold scheme, I really like it B)
dimaxion Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Mustang , Shelby ; you had my attention there . Rush , you will do quality like this in due order . I suffered the same anxiety at 13 . Be glad you have sites to go to . We didn't in the day . The Whimbleton White and Gold are perfect . Just right ! Thanx ..
my66s55 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Very nicely done mrmike. Just the way I like to see them.
Dominik Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 didn't seen a white GT350H ever - but it looks fantastic with the golden stripes. Very clean Mike.
mrmike Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Thanks guys! Dominik, the last 200 GT350H's built were broken into lots of 50 in red, dark blue, Ivy Green, and Wimbeldon White. The first 80,1 including the prototypes, were painted Raven Black.
SuperStockAndy Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) I never knew that 50 were white! I just thought it was some kind of different color scheme you made up. Edited October 16, 2011 by Andy C.
mrmike Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 I thought that the GT350H were all black with gold stripes until I started researching it. As soon as I saw that they were available in other colors, I knew I had to be different and chose Wimbelton White. Sort of a polar opposite of Raven Black!
