That's a very nice kit. I have one and haven't built it yet. Actually, I just looked and I had ruined the paint. Another model into the purple swamp!

I have this kit too, but I'm not sure what to do with it.... I already started building it as Custom, but it wasn't good idea... Then I've been thinking Pro Street, or Gasser.... Well, hard to decide. But anyway, first thing, I did, I sold those wheels, tires, too modern interior parts, and too modern engine away. This project sounds really interesting, but I'd like to see 15" wheels on that body, those just don't fit.

I built one of these a few years ago, it's a great kit. Front suspension is a little fiddly but I don't remember any snags during the build. I did replace the wheels with the Phantom Vicky kit wheels which uses the same tires but fit the look of the build a little better. I have some pics somewhere, I 'll post them if I run across them.

how long do you leave it in the purpl power?

If it's enamel, quite a while, but most of the time, it's just a few days 2-5. Sometimes I fish it out and scrub it with a toothbrush, then dunk it back in for a couple of more days until all paint and primer are gone.

I loved building that kit when I was younger. Sadly, I had left it at my parents house when I moved out and my mom accidentally broke it while cleaning. :( I'm definitely following this one.

That front end shot is really the only thing wrong with this kit. The headlights are too low(IMO) for the height of the car. It needs a section, or a top chop or something, caz the headlights look too "lazy" or"sleepy" to me. But it IS a nice kit. I just took them rascals out an put them up near the radiator, in a more stock position. Used the pods from a 36 ford I believe. Please keep us updated, your doin great! :D:);)
