Thanks guys for the compliments!

There are some beautiful builds going on here. I'd also like to see how to lower these puppys. It's funny, they are to high in the 1:1 world as well. Most people have them lowered right at the dealer before they even drive them off the lot.

Thanks Jonathan,

I really appreciate you doing that. I am going to build a bunch of these mustangs so it will come in handy knowing how to lower them down.

If you are just going for a simple stock-height lowering, you can use lower=profile tires and shave down the K-Member mounting nibs on the front framerails, and just take 1/16th inch out of the rear spring height with the same tire size used on the fronts on the rears. Drastic lowering will take a bit more surgery, and FORGET wide, fat meats at any corner.

Jonathan will cover the basic lowering, as it was his thought that got me to lower the GT500. Now, I am dropping the GT to what you might see out in the 1:1 world (2" drop over 20" wheels) and that is proving slightly more difficult.

Man i havent been in this area in awhile. Im holding off on building mustangs and getting this viper done that my wife bought me for valentine. She also bought me a master seal kit for my 8.8 that im going to have rebuilt. Only thing left is the differential.

Stephen I almost have that hood in good condition... I have to strip the paint lol and sand it down. It only had one spot that the paint moved away from.

Robert, great job on the stangs, very nice

I ordered some resin parts for the new eleanor build, and got them today, but instead of them sending my the side body scoops, the sent me hood scoops . I wish I knew the kit came with the side body scoops before I bought the resin ones

The ones that came were the window scoops, I messaged the seller, and when they get back to me I might just ask a for refund and use the kit scoops

Yes, the convertible is a snap kit. It compares well with the regular glue kit. I did not use any of the stickers that came with the kit because they looked too shiney to me and the instrument sticker was too dark. I used decals from the 2010 glue kit for the instruments. The convertible has a different dash than the glue kit, more of a basic radio whereas the glue kit has the fancier voice-activated info-tainment center. I used the tires and wheels from the 07 Shelby kit for this build. It went together easy and was a pretty fast build. I'd recommend it to anyone as it does capture the look really well.

Actually got some decent weather here in Oregon, so I got a ways on my 08 cobra jet. Got all of the interior painted, detailed, built a 8 point roll cage, and assembled. FYI, this was my 1st time flocking, and OMG what a difference it makes. All thats left on the interior tub is detailing the engine bay. Also got the chassis painted, also painted all the details, and got the cj engine and full length headers installed. Here are some pics.
