Guest Gramps-xrds Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I just got it finished about an hr ago. Not perfect, but it'll due. I had ta make the headlight bar and I could only find 4 of the hood panel vents, so I had ta cast a few more. Now I gotta figure what ta do next.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Oh man, I love the contrast between those two colors. Nice build. Congrats!
Chuck Most Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Nice. As for what to do next....'32 pickup?
jeffs396 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Very nice compliment to your uber-cool '36 Chevy pickup! We need more 30s Bowties!
CorvairJim Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 The 1932 Chevy "Confederate" series was the best looking entry-level car of the era, bar none! MUCH classier looking than the same year's Fords, at least in my opinion. It was essentially a "Baby Cadillac" stylistically, thanks to the oversight of Harley Earl. Those hood doors were used across the board on G.M.'s 1932 offerings. I like the way this sedan came together, with only the taillights hinting that maybe it's not quite as stock as it appears at first glance. I agree with Cranky - I love the colors you used on it!
David G. Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 That is a striking color combination, very eye-catching. Nice work! David G.
jeff ewaskey Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Man, what a beauty. Really nice build and the good old WV. license plate is a nice touch.
charlie8575 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Very nicely done. The only body I've ever seen was the roadster. Is this one an OOP or a resin? Charlie Larkin
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Very nicely done. The only body I've ever seen was the roadster. Is this one an OOP or a resin? Charlie Larkin Charlie this is an MPC switchers ford body and fenders that I converted to be a chevy. The side trim. hood top, front apron and grill are scratched from wire, bondo and whatever else I could find that worked.
Camshaft Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 This reminds me of a very mild two-tone Oldsmobile I've seen ( and admired) running around my hometown ever since I can remember. Nice job on the conversion, not every day you see a '32 that isn't a Ford.
