The piece of body that I broke off is reattached, the gaps have been filled by adding .030 strips to the edges of the door and sanded to fit, I added a striker and latch notch for the door. I also cut a strip from the floor and glued it to the door opening for a little strength. The gaps still need some fine tuning, but are close,

Wow, cool idea turning it into a van! I like the sun roof, it reminded me of an AMT Chevy van I built many years ago. It was one of those early van kits, where you could choose covered or window sides. I also used the same tinted glass. I cut a big opening, and the sun roof just snaps into place! Different with turbocharged six, but cool.

Wow... I saw this bumped up and was hoping we made progress. Dave, how's it coming along?

It's sitting idle for now. I have a bunch of projects going at once, about 5 for me and 2 for customers. What happens is, I get bored with finishing details, but love mocking things up, so I seem to have too many going at once. I promise to get back to it soon.

As for the paint, I have a sketch of the paint I did one night while watching TV that I hope to use. I'll scan it later and post it.

Super cool!!!! Not a fan of the side door either, but everything else is really nice. I love following builds like this. Keep it coming.
