Tom, you have to finish this!!!!!!! Your builds are by far some of the best I have ever seen! To say that it would be a shame if you didn't finish it would be the understatement of the year! You don't want to end up like me do you! LOL

Hey, are the door handles cast onto that cab? I mastered some really nice "Ford" style 70's push button handles that would work well on it!

Those ARE nice! I'm finding there's a lot out there that I simply don't know about. Good stuff...

Gordon and Tim: Men of few words! I think they mean much. Keep it up man, this is a unique subject that anyone can relate to. This one is detailed so much it would win a show, hands down. Don't let a winner go unfinished. Way too much work in it to let go.

Thanks Tom, please get with me whenever your looking for anything you think you may have to scratch build. I have mastered many off the wall parts, especially those intended for truck models. If I didn't make it and it exists, I can probably lead you to it!

Scratchbuilt the chassis from Evergreen and Plastruct plastic.

This is great, brings back memories of my early trips to the US in the late '70s. Where did the wheels & tyres come from? I've been looking for something similar for a wrecker.

I bought the wheel faces off of eBay some time ago. I grafted the faces onto the AMT C-600 round wheel parts. The C-600 also donated the tires. I'll be using these wheels again on a project I just started, which I'll post when progress is made.

The wheels most likely came from me, its been about 2 years since I sold them. Ive been meaning to clean them up on my lathe but been a little busy

Beautiful work Tom, that cab is on my to-get list!

Tom. how did you cast the cab? and is missing link the only place that sells it?

Yes. Missing Link owns all right to it now. They have the master. They have compensated me so everything belongs to them.
