ValvEasy Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I've been trying valiantly to get some more pictures, but my camera went face down on me, so in the interest of, well, interest in the build, I'll slow my work til I can get a new one.
martinfan5 Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Sorry to hear that, I think my camera is about to go out as well soon,
martinfan5 Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Here is what I am going to start on next, well one of many , Ferrari 360 spider kit, I went with the Revell kit, as it was cheaper, but I should of got the Tamiya one instead.
martinfan5 Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Here is another one I am starting, its a fujimi BMW alpina b10 , Its a simple kit, not a lot to it. body primered body after a few coats of paint and the chassis

martinfan5 Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Here is the BMW body, its been clear coated, it needs to be wetsanded and polished
maltsr Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Looks real nice jonathan. Do you sand the paint, either between the colour coats, or before the clear coat goes on?
martinfan5 Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Paul, I sand before and between wet coats
martinfan5 Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Nice and shiney , not a bit of rust in site Here is were the 360 is at, I am using the wheels and tires from the tamyia 360 kit I did a while back
martinfan5 Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 Getting some more work done on the 360, there is more done then I have pics of The interior is flocked, the flocking that I got was really lumpy and made it really hard to make it look good. And here is the BMW all finished, I will be taking some better pics in the next few days.
martinfan5 Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 Here are some pics of the 360 and what I have done
Dingo5162 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 OK Jonathan, you can put me down for this build even though I'm doing it in the Gumball Rally as well I think I can get it up and running in this one also. I will be building an Australian Ford Falcon XT GT sedan. All I have to do now is aquire a Ford Mustang for the chassis & running gear and get the dash from a local aftermarket maker and it's go. Dingo
martinfan5 Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Dingo, you got it mate, cool I cant wait to see this one built, nice to have a ford from down under in here . What year is it?
Dingo5162 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Jonathan, the XT Falcon is a 1968-69 model had a 302 Windors putting out 230hp. I haven't worked out a colour for it yet but likely to go with plum crazy which was a Ford Australia colour and used on GT's back then, in the time of the Oz GT there where 6 different years of GT's and 3 specials made, for a while I had an XY GT which was claimed as the fastest 4 door production car made and only 200 were built but now there are many fake XY GT & GTHO's around but they R built from Falcon 500 sedans and U can't buy one for less than $30,000Aust which is crazy, to buy an original if U can find one would set U back a cool $1 million for any of them. So that's a bit about my model and my real car hope U liked it. Dingo Edited February 14, 2012 by Dingo5162
martinfan5 Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Thanks for sharing Dingo, very cool, I will say that I dont know a lot about AUS versions of fords, or the holdens .
