sjordan2 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) Unbelievable. I'm sitting here with my MPC Bentley in my hands and looking at your build, and I am astonished not only by what you've added, but how your paint work alone has added detail and accuracy to the basic kit pieces - the skill with which you've only worked with box stock parts. Then you get into stuff like the plug wire contacts, hoses, wires, throttle linkage and all the other custom parts. And you do it all so fast. Edited December 17, 2011 by sjordan2
sjordan2 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) Looks like you've also added minor oil leak stains on the oil pan, as I did. As is often heard from Brits, "If it doesn't leak, that means it's out of oil." Edited December 17, 2011 by sjordan2
Darren B Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 John, you never cease to amaze, truly a fine work of art in the making.
Nitrozilla Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) My guess is he even hollowed out the tires, made tubes and inflated them to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer. Edited December 17, 2011 by Batzilla
Darren B Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 My guess is he even hollowed out the tires, made tubes and inflated them to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer. Don't forget the forged pistons and crankshaft that he made out of a solid chunk of aluminum and the 30 weight oil in the engine...
John Teresi Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Hi Everyone........I usually don`t thank each and every person everytime I get a kind comment.......please don`t take that as an insult........I honestly honor every comment......I love to share my work and give any help that is asked.......thank you all so much for following this build.
Rdkingjay Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 John, I just went through all your posts for this build and you are doing just an amazing job. Your work and attention to detail is impeccable! I have a 1/16th General Lee project that I thought I was doing a lot of detail on, unitl I saw your car. I saw the real thing ( i think) on an episode of "Chasing Classic Cars, which is filmed about an hour away from me. I'll certainly follow your posts. Great build.
Agent G Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 My guess is he even hollowed out the tires, made tubes and inflated them to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer. Guess my azz, I know he did. G
Greg Pugh Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Your work is just beyond words. I just flip out every time I see another post. It's amazing watching 'em come together.

walt francis Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Today is the first time that I opened this post with not expecting much but an old car build and I couldn't have been more wrong, I wouldn't even think of building one of these and now watching your show... WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to do one of these. OUTSTANDING JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
W-409 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Great job with this build. To me, it looks like you are on the Bentley factory, and post pictures from those cars in progress. Can't believe that it's a model. Very nice job with it, your builds make building models look so easy.
sjordan2 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) In one of your earlier posts, you indicated that you might play around with the interior color. PLEASE DON'T! I've done a lot of research on these 4.5 litre Blower Bentleys and every one of them has a green interior. You've done such an awesome job in accuracy and detail that it would be awful to see you depart that much. Edited December 19, 2011 by sjordan2
John Teresi Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Hello.......I worked on the brake mechanism......I have a few more pieces to put on the brake drum......I will paint some gold Alclad tonight and work on the battery box.......thank`s for looking.
