Biffo Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) Ok here goes ! Finished this about this time last year ! (going to build up to more recent couple as a time line learning process thing !) Its the 1963 super stock galaxie of Dick Brannan, built from an AMT prestige kit, with the rear chassis and axle etc from a Revell 64 thunderbolt (didnt like the one piece lack of detail in the stock kit!) also used the thunderbolt block with amt (Thunderbird valve covers) This was built before i discovered polishing kits ! and cleaning up to take this pic led to me damaging the 823 decal , http://images53.fotki.com/v249/photos/9/1843909/10246273/DSC_0015-vi.jpg http://images112.fotki.com/v386/photos/9/1843909/10246273/DSC_0016-vi.jpg http://images54.fotki.com/v77/photos/9/1843909/10246273/DSC_0017-vi.jpg ok just set up fotiki acc hopefully you can see pics now Edited December 1, 2011 by Biffo
bobthehobbyguy Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Nice, very clean build. You're off to a good start. bobthehobbyguy
rustybill1960 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Very clean sharp build Sean! Thank You for sharing I am looking forward to your other builds Later Russ
gasser59 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I find it hard to believe you're a newbie with the way that looks but then a lot can happen in a year. How's that learning curve coming along? Great looking and clean too!!
Dr. Cranky Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Nice work on all he basic skills, and I think your hard work paid off and rewarded you with a wonderful model.
W-409 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Very nice and clean build. That paintjob looks great, and I like that engine detailing too. Great to see older Stockers or Super Stockers being built. They are one of my favorites. But the best was Junior Stock.
Biffo Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Thanks for the nice comments and feedback guys ! Will try to photograph and post a couple of my later projects when i get home, (nothin exciting Jerry Eckman Pro Stock, & Strickler bel air prob) Sorry but the availability and range of kits and aftermarket stuff over here kinda limits things ! VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE DUSTER AND CHALLENGER PRO STOCK KITS I RECENTLY WON ON EBAY ! THAT ARE CURRENTLY WINGING THERE WAY OVER HERE FROM YOUR PART OF THE WORLD ! Might start an on going thread on the John collins 79 bird funny car that i am working on (was very pleased how the paint etc was going on that, until i wrecked it after having to remove a cracked screen) Also can someone tell me how i insert fotki (actual photo instead of thr URL for it??)
W-409 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 When you have the picture open http://public.fotki.com/NostalgicDrag/49-mercury-chop-top/kitti-seuraavana.html <- Like that, click with right button of the mouse, and then show the picture (or what is it in english). Then you are in this point http://images107.fotki.com/v159/photos/4/1674554/8827137/Kittiseuraavana_-vi.jpg. Then you just have to copy the URL and on this forum when you write a post, click "Image" button. It's close of that Link button, that green one. Paste that URL there, and you have a picture. Hope you understood anything of my english...
