W-409 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 This is going to be really interesting. Your latest Camaro build was amazing, and I can't wait to see more of this. Lenco looks very good to me, but actually it's so realistic, that I'm not sure if it's 1:1 scale.
RTK434 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Looking forward to watching this one. Mike's new car is beautiful. Doug and the rest of the Precision Chassis crew did an amazing job on the 1:1 and I'm sure your scale version will be just as amazing! Edited December 10, 2011 by RTK434
Len Woodruff Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) 1/8 scale is almost like working in 1:1 but a whole lot less expensive!! Edited December 10, 2011 by Len Woodruff
Magic Photos Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Dave if anyone can do this car it is you. I will be watching and learning from this build, thanks for sharing. Mike
Z28 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Anytime I'm on this site and I see 69 Camaro and / or comp 1839 I'm ALL eyes "QQ". I'll be watching in great awe as the Master builds another replica of a beautiful car. Marty

eviltwincustoms Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Man Dave, That thing is gonna be amazing, Any chance the body will be offered in 1/16th in the future or is it gonna be a 1 off? At one point it was mentioned it was going to be available. But not sure in what scale or if it was this specific body. It looks awesome even at this stage.
Mooneyzs Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Dave that is just some awesome work on the center section of the rear end. I have to ask what CAD program are you using to draw the 3D model of the Camaro in as well as your parts?? It looks awesome
stump Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Ah Dave......I've been dreading this moment................................... Nah, kiddin' of course. Man, I'd been secretly hoping (wishing) you would start a WIP on this soon man. Mike's car is one serious piece of machinery, and I just know........you're gonna nail this. The Bruno looks the goods already, and the body art sure shows lotsa promise. Keep us posted mate.

Mooneyzs Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Dave that is really awesome. Thank you for taking the time to explain that to me. I think its very nice that you want to give back to the modeling community like that. I know I have some items on my wish list from TDR, I just need to place my order on them. One of the other reasons I was asking what CAD program you were using was because I have a 3D CAD program I use. It's what I used to draw up some parts that I had Jim (Micro Nitro) Machine for me. I was thinking I would maybe talk to Tim and see what File types they typically use or would need for these SLA rapid prototype parts. I was thinking about drawing up some stuff, if they think they could possibly sell it and have them make it, then he can offere it to everyone. I haven't had much time to do it but I also have a couple of one off items I was debating to see what it would cost to have him make versus trying to scratch build it something as well. Thanks again Dave for all of your help.
