Amp3r3z Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 At first I was a bit disapointed also, I was expecting a curbside because of the side of the box but mostly the customizing parts I was expecting something similar to the box art that looks cool but I threw it all in the parts box. once I startd on it though I liked it choped the top had it all ready to paint flat black then my dog destroyed it.
Eshaver Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Thats a shame . Shoot, I bought one back in the "Day " just over the kwell front end it had . Then , it was a big yard to mow , two dollas , no taxes then and mine ! Ed Shaver
disabled modeler Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I have one of the old 61 Star liner HTs its an old build up from years ago may need a few pieces but would be willing to trade it off for???
1972coronet Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Please keep these cleaned-up & restored reissues coming , Round2 (hell , their name says it all , right ?) , and dismiss the grumblings . I bought the Electra 225 ("Retro Reissue") and am very pleased with it . Certainly , it's a promo-type ; however , it's got all the right stuff ! When was the last you saw a RotoMatic (a/k/a "Slim Jim") parked-behind a Buick Nailhead ?? As stated before ; all one has to do is look on the bottom of the box for the kits' contents : No Surprises ! Looks like I may have to grab on of these '62 Fords now ...
disabled modeler Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 The reissue of the Ford in curb side is enough for me to look for one...will still build into a great model
mike 51 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) It's the same kit this thread has been about....the very same. Edited May 2, 2015 by mike 51

fseva Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I suspect this was just merged into this thread by a moderator this morning. Yes, happens all the time here - even when I've done my search first and came up with nothing in this category - must have somehow missed this thread. Oh, and I noticed on one of the old boxes that "Styline" was for "young designers"... no wonder it's a curbside... don't want to scare those youngsters right out of the hobby!
Fat Brian Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 If you wanted to get ambitious you could use this body over the recently tooled AMT 60 Starliner chassis.
fseva Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 If you wanted to get ambitious you could use this body over the recently tooled AMT 60 Starliner chassis. It's not ambition but rather experience (none) with that type of thing that makes me hesitate... and the fact that I have a ton of kits that I can build, and don't want to buy 2 kits and get 1 for my investment!
Bob Ellis Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) I cut open the hood and used the 63 Galaxie engine, frame, firewall and radiator. Edited May 3, 2015 by Bob Ellis
