Haubenschild Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Since i am waiting for paint for my 57 chev i decided to tinker with this zr1 , I dont know the year the manufacturer or the scale , all i know is that it is beat up. I will be painting it Tamiya TS-42 light gun metal with a black interior , all comments are welcome
Nate Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I think it's a 1/24th R/M kit. I have one molded in yellow.
Haubenschild Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 its a curbside , and it is held together by screws
SSNJim Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Either a promo or an AMT SnapFast Plus kit, which would be 1/25 scale. I think the SnapFast versions came in yellow at one point. It can be hard to tell the difference, but I think the promos might have used some sort of heat bonding in areas to assemble them.
Wheels Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I think I have the answer. It's a promo. Here's the chassis to my 1990 ZR1 promo. Look familar? Hosted on Fotki

That's what it is, I at least used to have one (not sure if I still do) and it was molded in that same ugly shade of yellow.
Mr. Moparman Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I want to work on a promo one day, problem is, is which one.
RickRollerLT1 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I know for sure it's definitely the AMT Snap Fast kit. I had a complete kit I got for $2.00 at the L.I.A.R.S. show 2yrs ago. I didn't feel like building it, so I traded it off for a Revell '93 Camaro Snapper (which is a glue-snapper and is full detail) I got at the 2010 NNL east
