BOSWELL891 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) I got the newest release of Revell's wrecker for Christmas, and just finished it today. Its completely OOB and has Duplicolor paint, I really like the way this one came out. All comments and criticism welcome. BTW I had the latest issue of MCM by my side using the tips about taking pictures. Edited February 4, 2012 by BOSWELL891
greymack Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Nice wrecker Bos and great detail.I was wondering what that kit looked like built.
Austin T Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) It's a great kit except for the engine bay.I took a dremill to mine and built a 440 six pack for it Edited January 5, 2012 by Austin T
01blueedge Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 turned out good I picked one of these up last week
ChrisR Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Are those the kit decals? Looks a lot better than the original peel & stick stickers.
Dominik Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Good looking wrecker. The decals loking really good! Is it also a snap kit like the "orange" issue? If i see the enginebay, it looks so.
Patrick2005 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 pretty sweet build. the engine looks like it was made a little on the cheap side with the valve covers molded to the intake but everything else is great man

southernboy Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Nice work. This would be an awesome kit if it actually had engine detail. I like what you did with yours though.
promo55 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Great wrecker! It looks like Revell improved this kit since they reissud the orange model, which I have. I may have to get this one, too. A wrecker is my favorite kind of truck and I love G.M. trucks. You did a fine job on this one!
jaydar Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 nice build. I am waiting for the snow plow version. although i am in Chicago, a snow plow so far would be out of place....no snow?!?!?! joe.
MyBradKeselowski Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Great looking wrecker, you did an amazing job. I like the color...
Bluzboy66 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Nice build!! I love these old Chevy trucks. I gotta get me one of these kits! Mike
Gregg Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Cole, do have some other photos of the wrecker, maybe we could use on the main web site under the kit reviews? Need some photos that have more depth of field, in focus from front to back. Let me know if you would like to do this. Thanks.

Sorry just seen this, Yes i would love to have this on the main website, but everytime i take a picture the focus is lost in the back, how can I fix this?
rmvw guy Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Looks great but, have to agree on engine. Thanks for showing the OOB version. Nice job on the detailing!
Eshaver Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Very nice for out of the box work . Ed Shaver
David G. Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Sorry just seen this, Yes i would love to have this on the main website, but everytime i take a picture the focus is lost in the back, how can I fix this? Take a higher resolution from farther away and crop it down to size. From a greater distance, the camera will focus on the whole truck rather than just what's in the center of the viewfinder. Nice truck, by the way! David G.
unclescott58 Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Talk about making a silk purse out of a sows ear. I'm impressed. Very nice job.Scott
