Ryan S. Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) here's the merc that I've got going as well. Just getting started on this one. Going to have to do some heavy armor over the front to protect the blower. Edited January 27, 2012 by Ryan S.

Matt21726 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) I’d love to join this as soon as I have the time. I have some projects that would be right at home here. Edited January 27, 2012 by Matt21726
1320wayne Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 More progress on the Zombie Cruiser. The new tires are attached to the suspension all the way around and the fenders have been radiused to fit the bigger meats. And I added more plating to the body to protect the inhabitants of the vehicle. There will be more bodywork to come and then I can get started on paint and weathering. Working on ideas for an intense front ramming plate/cowcatcher if you will.
PlasticKits Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Ryan I gotta hand it to you the monster truck is great!!!! LOL PK
outlaw035 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 wayne thats gonna be one bad a** zombie hunter....
Jantrix Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 A couple changes to what I have named the Puma ATRV (All Terrain Recon Vehicle), added the roll bar and changed the motor mounts. I'm working on some of the front skins and working out the interior/windshield. I have figured out the weaponry. As this will be a scout vehicle, the weapons will be mostly concerned with what is beside and to the rear of the vehicle. So behind the engine area will be mounted a gimballed .50 caliber machine gun which will be fired remotely by the co-pilot via a slaved camera system and computer monitor in the dash. I'll scratch a fighter jet style control stick to move the gun remotely.
RodneyBad Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Frame is looking pertty good but your Tranny looks to be on upside-down
ZombieHunter26 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 So, I'm still stuck on the cockpit of the red hawk for some reason, so I knocked out a quick build on the '55 chevy before I pack up everything for the move- I'm letting paint dry and whatnot, then I'll post pics and a description
ZombieHunter26 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 So, every story has to have villains. Here are mine. Keep in mind, the drivers can be more deadly than the vehicle- Far away from Enrico and Jennings (who are on their way down to the swamplands that have replaced the entire southeastern seaboard), in the wastes of what -used- to be Colorado... The remnants of the Colorado City Punks have gotten hold of a '55 Chevy Gasser, welded the doors shut, replaced the windows with steel plate, and stole an experimental device that makes any alcoholic liquid into viable fuel for gasoline engines...(perfect for the seemingly unending stash of liquor they keep on hand...) With law and order nowhere to be seen, these anarchy driven maniacs have spread terror throughout the midwestern wastelands. Murder, theft, and general debauchery follow the three punks and their "Murder Machine". Each kill is marked by a tally on the driver rear panel, visible to all that have the misfortune to cross paths with them. Let's hope our heroes don't meet up with these murderous foes... '55 Chevy "Murder Machine" More past the break...
ZombieHunter26 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 like I said, quick build. I personally like the BAM BAM graffiti near the rear porthole, where the mounted gun is- 'til next time!
otherunicorn Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I bought this thing in the 80's. It was a drag car, and was missing the sprue that had the internal fire wall etc. etc. on it . I turned it into a road warrior. Later on, I tossed everything but the body shell and did this. I do not know if I have a small box hiding somewhere with its doors and a few other parts, or if I threw everything into the parts box which I then sold on ebay. I'm working on it again. So far the only modifications have been paint.
Jantrix Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Frame is looking pertty good but your Tranny looks to be on upside-down Ah yes, if that was indeed a transmission it would look upside down. However that is actually a Kenser kinetic motion transfer unit attached to a Bronlin hydrogen powered motor, capable of over 2100 miles of travel, at speeds up to 200 mph, on a single fill up. But I can see why you'd make that mistake.
Dr. Cranky Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Wow, the amazing builds continue. I think you are all running a very high Styrene Fever with these builds . . . Absolutely wonderful what you are doing with your vehicles. Keep 'em coming, please! The ranks are filling up the CARAVAN nicely. Cheers, DC
