ZombieHunter26 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 stay tuned, I got something special in store...
ZombieHunter26 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I've been working on a secret build, and even teasing a little about it here and there to keep you guessing. I got the idea to do this shiny, over-the-top build from a few different sources. For one, in a world of the undead and raiders and all-around lawlessness, there should be at least ONE person who decided "HEY! I'm gonna do what no one else will! I'LL be sheriff 'round these here parts!" ....or something like that. secondly, the good doctor himself encouraged me to try a shiny build. To go outside my bounds. Do something DIFFERENT. and lastly, I'm a big nerd. In every MMO, tabletop RPG, fantasy-based rpg game, etc.... I've played a paladin. Destroyer of evil, upholder of the law, and bane of demons and the undead. VALIANT STEED is the mixture of all these things. Part '57 chevy utility sedan, part british crusader MKII tank, it embodies what -I-, one of the biggest nerds I know, believe a post-apocalyptic paladin would drive. If you've been paying attention, this guy has been causing all sorts of folk legends around his stomping grounds, destroying evil swiftly and viciously, and rescuing those in need. I'll start with progress pics, then move on to the finished product! It started with a simple hackjob and glueworks- moved on to primer and more details- and made it to lacquer and decals- more past the break...
ZombieHunter26 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 more Lacquer and decals! SHINYYYY prepare yourselves, for the next post contains finished product!!!!
ZombieHunter26 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Those poor, poor zombies and raiders... they didn't have enough blood to paint the whole car! HAHA! I hope you guys like it. Thanks for all the kind words on Liger- I try to be mad genius but sometimes it just comes out completely nutso with a twist of OHMYGAWDITWORKED! Comment away! otherunicorn Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Latest state of the bladed one. And below is a sketch of a PA model I was building 20 years ago. It never got finished. I no longer have it. Edited February 12, 2012 by otherunicorn
otherunicorn Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Thanks for all the kind words on Liger- I try to be mad genius but sometimes it just comes out completely nutso with a twist of OHMYGAWDITWORKED! But that IS what a mad genius does! It is also how many so called engineers/experts arrive at their conclusions.
ZombieHunter26 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 But that IS what a mad genius does! It is also how many so called engineers/experts arrive at their conclusions. touche', good sir. touche'. Now, where did I hide that doomsday device??
sports850 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Well , I found a great source of weaponry , for the Australian guy's KMart has a $15 bag of army stuff with all manner of guns (submachine guns cut down a bit are now in the old engine bay) and artiliery pieces and sandbag bunkers along with half a dozen soldiers that could become zombies ... I cut down 4 sub-machine guns to fit into the engine bay after trying to make a mini gun that would lift up and then swivel to the firing position (figured it would be too complex for the availible equipment after the worlds gone bad , plus it wasn't working ...) , need to rework the metal bonnet to fit over it now . Also the deck of the roof rack is on and starting to figure out the other armaments , "Mr Happy" will be slung below the rear window with the water writing facing out but when released will show "Mr Happy" along with a cable pulling a pin out for the timer ...
