CaptainAhab Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Dan, that's a chopped model T I threw together in a weekend. Maybe i'll post it under glass.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Lordy, that's looking beautiful. Can't wait to see it in paint. Keep it going.
Jantrix Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Very nice work. It just screams for some suede paint in my opinion.
Albie D Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 This is my kind of build. Totally sick. I bought a few of these kits (one for use with a resin 52 body,to copy my 1:1 car) and after seeing this I wanna start building one now. Love the black steelies, the stance and the chop. Keep up the great work!
CaptainAhab Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 Thanks guys! Well, this has been in the box for a little while now. I got some glue on the body while putting the windows in and messed up the paint. I got discouraged and threw it in the box... You'll be glad to know that tonite I finally prepped the body for a repaint! Off the the LHS tommorrow for some paint (Jantrix, suede is sounding tasty..) and hopefully ill get this baby done this time... Joker- I used rustoleum, fills and sands nicely. I dig some plasticote too. That stuff is magic
mopar01lee Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Lookin good ... I've always liked this Chevy better than the tri'5. To darn many of them..
sbk Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Any updates? I hope it's not just sitting in a box because it surely was looking good.
CaptainAhab Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Hey Steve, no shes not in the box...shes on the bench fully painted waiting for some windows...trying to find the right material to make em
sbk Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Clear PVC works well for "glass". It's not as prone to cracking & hazing at bends like clear styrene is. I've found .007" sheets at Hobby Lobby & .010" sheets at a RC hobby store. http://www.arlenesartistcatalog.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=pvc+sheet
