Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 This one's in the home stretch and yes, it's going to be in law enforcement.
Wagoneer81 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Sweet! I like it! I think it's time to dig out my Hornet and start building...
W-409 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 It's still not too late to paint some detail to those hubcaps. Center logos need some paint, and valves too. Gives much realistic look. But very nice build overall, especially that paintjob is really great.
62rebel Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 finally shot my second color for the roof on mine; i did the main body in Navy Blue Angels blue and the top is Ivory. funny... i did the Nomad in the same scheme..... man; i can't wait for that Chrysler to hit the shelves.
my66s55 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Oh by gosh. It's a stock Hudson. What a beautiful sight. Nice build, as it should be.
sjordan2 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) The best Hornet build I've seen from any source. Good job. But if it's a police car, doesn't it need more I.D.? Please show a lot more pictures. Edited January 17, 2012 by sjordan2
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 I do intend to paint the center of the hubcaps and decals are coming. As are a few scratchbuilt details.
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 18, 2012 Author Posted January 18, 2012 It will be getting a star on the doors and probably some lettering on the front fenders. AS for spots, initially I wasn't sure if I had anything that could be used. I'm about half way there. I also added a scratchbuilt antenna which is too long right now. I'll fix that. And a little "something" to help enforce the law. A shotgun with scratchbuilt rack.
raisin27 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Nice take on a great kit. Hope you enjoyed building yours as much as i did mine. Raisin
Harry P. Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 That's a beautifully done Hornet, cop car or not.
Dr. Cranky Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Very nice indeed. Love all the little details like the siren.
Dominik Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 I love this Kit. I am working on my third of it and yours is looking like a brother of my first built: If it is alowed, to show it. If not, just say some words and i'll remove the pic out of your thread I wil take a look, what kind of decals you will take for him. A policecar....like it. Cool idea!
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 Dominik, Leave your picture right where it is. Beautiful.
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Progress is slow but it is happening. The spotlight and handle is on.
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Been busy in the past 24... How about some dock lock knobs? The shotgun and mount have been added also. I did say knobs and as you can see, the passenger's side it locked. Seeing as I had to take the body off again, I thought to get a shot of the handle for the spotlight.
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 How about a view in from the passenger's side? Not much left to do now.
Platerpants Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 i can see why revell sells part of the moebius international lonestars these moebius kits are top notch revell needs to step their detail levels up a bit
