Tony T Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) AMT 66 Nova MPC 69 Camaro Revell 58 Corvette (mild weathering) Edited January 21, 2012 by Tony T
Dr. Cranky Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Oh my, where would we start! LOL! There are so many wonderful builders here who do the weathered beaters and junkers. I will show you a couple of mine:
Devilsnake98 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I don't have any to share, I like my models shiny, but the 57 bel air and the 69 camaro are very realistic, would love to pull either of these out of the weeds.
Ramfins59 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 This is my only real attempt at building a weathered vehicle. It's a '34 Ford Pickup converted to a flatbed. I had a ball doing this as I didn't have to worry about making it look "pretty"...
CorvairJim Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I've only done a couple of these, and had a blast with both of them. This first one is an actual 1966 AMT Corvair Corsa annual that I got on eBay as a glue bomb. It looked so rough that it gave me the idea to rebuild it this way as soon as I opened the box: I call this next one "Junior's High School Hot Rod" Junior was a part-time burger-flipper with NASCAR dreams: Sorry about the blurry pics of the Ford. I was using an older, 2meg camera without a close-up setting.)
Dominik Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Hi, i will show you some junkers / weathered cars from my collection. There are about two dozen of them, i think, thats too much to show one by one here. I have a junkyard, where some of them are parked (sorry for the bad light). Left angle: and right angle: A partsdealer a lost Trans Am a owner with his 57 Bel Air and a junker to spare parts whait a minute for my favorites...
Dominik Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 here we go I think, thats may best i made: my "rolling restauration"-Bel Air a 65 El "Drag Camino" my first made Wrecker "the Beast" my weathered Phantom Turbine after a mismatched paintjob at last, my 58 T-Bird (also made after a bad paintjob) Thats it, Thanks for your attention The next i am building, started today. Sheriff Rosco's Police Car.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Oh my, talk about kicking up some great rust. All these builds are beautiful in their own crusty and gunky ways. Rob, I really love that Mustang. Great job.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Some really gorgeous work, folks. Can't get enough.
tabsscale1 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 onlyone I did was the first one i did as well

rv1963 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 My favorite kind of cars rusty and beat up fist a Dodge monaco next a yenco camaro and last and by far the best 1929 ford pickup.
Tony T Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 That Green '69 Camaro is a Baldwin-Motion car...not a Yenko...I built a shiny one in green, too!
